I honestly don't think I've ever participated in anything that was a true fad. (A fad being something that is briefly "in" but never comes back into style after it fades away the first time.)
I did skateboard a lot. But while it faded out, it came back years later. It keeps going in cycles but these days there's always a certain minimum amount of skating activity. It never gets to mania levels, but it never fades completely out anymore, either. The dumbest single one was those "pogs" things. And then there's the tamagotchi, a handheld digital pet, usually on a keychain, that you had to interact with in order for it to "live", "develop", "thrive", and "be healthy". It's probably a good thing I never bothered with one of those damned things because I'd have probably gotten the Tamagotchi Protective Services on my ass for the way I'd have abused it. |

men wearing girl shoes and skinny jeans with the cuffs rolled up. Like this shit (this was a dude with a denim shirt around his waist). Yes, I was a creeper, I surreptitiously photographed him because my 12yo son was laughing at him so hard and I had to have a pic to explain to my wife.
