Fewer rounds/min/barrel equals better sustained capability. One firing barrel is going to be easier to accurately "sight" at various ranges that two separate barrels. A bad round won't choke the gun. And if you aren't on something that supply electric power, you aren't going to be able to carry enough .50BMG ammo to make it worth the effort anyway. |

Look up Gun Trucks. They used them in Vietnam for convoy escort/protection.
I sure wouldn't have wanted to be in front of one. |
