I have visited the Ayinger brewery (Aying, Bavaria) and stayed in their hotel on the property. Hotel is VERY nice, so much so that Porsche executives were using it for a company off-site when we were there.

Food in the gasthaus was excellent, and they had a self serve bar in the hotel library for guests. It was totally on the honor system.

Judge not the source of the content, but content itself. In this case, both are outstanding.

How to drink beer:

1. Pour that swill in the trash.
2. Pour pappy 23 year in a glencairn glass.

Go be poor somewhere else.

Hey. Don’t knock Rainier. I hunt in Canada ever year for a couple weeks at a time. We buy the local brew, and Rainier beer is the beer of choice when we go. Now it’s not Celebrator or Spaaten Optimator but it’s certainly not Natty Light!
