Pretty neat.  All politics aside, MD has a pretty cool flag and you gotta love that VA's flag violates the COC here....at least until they go woke and change it.

The only thing they will change on the VA flag is make the woman black and give the dead man a red hat.

It's not a flag. It's a burgee/pennant.

I live in Texas now.

I hail from Ohio.

Ohio has the most bad-ass flag design. Texas stands behind hers.  (Although the AZ flag story is pretty cool.)

Ancient Ohio legend says that those who disrespect the Ohio flag will be visited in the night by a shadow man. Who strangles the offender with the cut out portion of the flag.

Maryland's flag looks like if you wave it around too much, a herd of bulls will come charging around the corner and run your ass over.

I like the Georgia state flag due to the big middle finger they gave to the people who didn't like the old one with the Confederate Battle Flag on it.

I literally had no idea who's flag that was until a few post down. And I lived in WV for many years.

These flags have sort of a Muslim look to them.

"The Moultrie flag also known as the Fort Moultrie flag, Liberty flag or Crescent flag used in the heroic defense of Fort Sullivan (now Fort Moultrie, on Sullivan’s Island, in Charleston Harbor) against the British in June 1776, by Colonel William Moultrie, was the first American flag used in the South in the Revolution. It consisted of a dark blue field with a white crescent in the upper right-hand (dexter) corner."

"As there was no national flag at the time, I was desired by the Council of Safety (on September 13, 1775, on taking possession of Fort Johnson, on James Island, in the harbor) to have one made; upon which, as the State troops were clothed in blue and the fort was garrisoned by the men of the first and second regiments who wore a silver crescent on the front of their caps, I had a large blue flag made with a crescent in the dexter corner to be uniform with the troops. This was the first American flag displayed in the South.” - General Moultrie

https://blog.usaflagco.com/moultrie-flag/

The origin of the "crescent" is disputed and apparently lost to history but as it was described by the creator of the Moultrie flag (and later the SC flag) as being derived from the cap badge, which was generally thought of as a decorative representative of the gorget which was commonly worn by troops even long after it had ceased to be protective but rather ceremonial, it's doubtful that it is a crescent moon.

SC had its own navy as well with a pretty cool naval jack:
