We see a white one at work sometimes... we call it a flying sperm.

They are pretty cool, I've been seeing them going in and out of CHA fairly often.

Visions are pretty sweet, there are a few at my airport that come and go.

Cool bird.
Powered by a Williams FJ33 turbofan, the all-carbon fiber, low-wing, seven-seat Cirrus Vision SF50 is pressurized, cruises at 300 kn (560 km/h) and has a range of over 1,200 nmi (2,200 km). For emergency uses, it has both a whole-airframe ballistic parachute and autoland system. Reviews have compared its performance to high-performance single-turboprop aircraft. In 2018, the Vision Jet was awarded the Collier Trophy for the "greatest achievement in aeronautics or astronautics in America" during the preceding year, being the first certified single-engine civilian jet. |

They are cool planes. I posted pictures of my boys in one a few years back. Everyone here was screeching about it being vaporware.
I have seen a good few of them going in and out of the airport. They are cool planes. |

Quoted: Is this the reincarnation of the V-tail doctor killer? View Quote Funny enough, yes, cirrus is the new bonanza. Nice enough to show off, cheap enough for the afford on a doctor salary, and the parachute gives a false sense of security that allows them to get into really bad situations. |

There is a Cirrus training facility at TYS in Alcoa TN, and there are a LOT of these flying all around the area. They look really cool up close, much better than in pictures. You just can't really see the shape of it accurately in a pic.

The Cirrus Vision center hangar is right behind our hangar. There are usually 10-20 of the Vision jets on their ramp at a time waiting on customer pick up.
A lot of SR22's also. |

X29.
I’m with switchtanks, I like the PC12, fly in one a few trips a year, they typically have good internet too. The Hawkers tend to have the worst internet. |
|
Seems like a lot of wasted fuselage space for engine/technical stuff. Not very sexy looking either.
I really like those Hondajets... cool concept even if it's butt ugly. |

Quoted: Its pretty neat but if I ever win the lottery I’m buying one of these. They’re more practical https://trilogyaviationgroup.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/w7-7.jpg View Quote You have good taste, and I share your dream. Except for getting older and not having enough time to do everything I want, I can't really relate to this guy (older CEO-type,) but I discovered this long format commercial when the standard definition it's in was normal and I've loved it ever since: PC-12 – Isn't It Time for the World's Greatest Single? My favorite part: "...Swiss craftsmanship. Passionate, uncompromising, relentless. Just what you'd expect from a country and a people as ruggedly individual and fiercely independent as you are." Dad made me proud to have Swiss heritage, and he worked for a company that at the time was, like Pilatus, part of Oerlikon-Büehrle. I don't think it's possible for me to not love the plane. |

They build them here in town. Get to see them quite often, been in them a few times. Pretty comfy, high class.

Depends on how much I win.
I fly a Phenom 300 now but no way I’d fly it single pilot. King Air 360? Pilatus is a definite contender, |

The useful load is terrible for a 6/7 seater. You can carry more and full fuel in an old and slow Cherokee 6. The PC-12 is the one to get although it does cost more than double.
|
|
They have a Vision Jet where I rent my planes from.
It's not very big, but if you only have 4 people and want a jet, it's faster than a prop plane and cheaper than a Citation. Think of it as 'the poor man's jet'. |

I have enough hours and experience with Cirrus to never trust pressurizing one in the flight levels. The same experience managing and operating small planes and business jets tells me that if I win a billion dollar lottery I’ll just use net jets. Let them deal with that pain in the ass.
