What I posted was a restatement of the varied, confirmed, unconfirmed, and contradictory facts that, apparently are still not quite correct in total. As for not quiting, yes a bunch of muni cops did in fact flee, BECAUSE THEY WERE UNFUCKING ARMED. They did not regroup, they did not go to a gun store or armory to get guns. They fled for their lives because their government body saw fit to outfit them as semi armed sort of security guards with some policing authority. Cops with actual guns showed up and got killed, because of a system of policing that is apparently not ready for terrorism, AFTER HAVING DEALT WITH IT FOR DECADES. There was no machine gun nest, there were two guys who were mildly familiar with aks and some shooting skills. It was not ISAS, IDEVGROUP, or even IRANGERS. They were less well armed and prepared than the two clowns in North Hollywood, they just ran into French LE that was less prepared than the 1990s LAPD armed with 9mm pistols and the occasional shotgun. The terrorists DID IN FACT ESCAPE, and had to be hunted down by other specialized police after the event. |
