Quoted: no. This means there is REAL proof somewhere that's about to get out or get further coverage. Something is about to hit, and this is their sacrificial lamb. This guy is probably some low performing asshole who worked tangentially on the case. Or worse, he's a good kid or shown he might be conservative. they'll hang the entire thing on him, declare themselves cleaned up and say "look! we took swift action!" Meanwhile the entire rotten mess will still keep targeting lawful conservative Americans, will still keep working with the intel community to target Trump and anyone agrees with him, and still keep being lying shitbags who have no business being out of prison, let alone being part of the top law "enforcement" group in the country. Quoted: This move has three purposes: 1. Calm down the public. They are probably already running AI against their wide area domestic ELINT collection to predict public mood and potential for actual direct action by the public, and it's probably telling them they need to let some air out of the tires on the open flaunting of corruption. 2. Brush up the FIBs public image, create a scenario they can point to and say "SEE, we are NOT biased" for when they are caught doing super corrupt shit some more, maybe election related, and 3. Influence the voters in the upcoming midterms. View Quote They are fucking delusional if they believe that firing or 'resigning' one guy is going to calm the public with regard to the FIB. |

He’s been at the FBI for a quarter-century, is a longtime supervisory agent, and also held top counterterrorism posts. Turns out, agent Thibault has a very active, highly political presence on LinkedIn, among other platforms. And no, to scrutinize that presence is not to deny that police officials are American citizens who, like everyone else, are entitled to have and to express political views. To attract people to his social-media accounts, Thibault appears to be brandishing his FBI credentials, with the implication that his status and experience give him special insight into the subjects of his dingbattery. As the Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy reports, Thibault’s public commentary takes aim at Republicans, the Trump administration, the Justice Department under then-attorney general Bill Barr, the American South, and the Catholic Church, among others. And upon perusing the trenchant observations in his oeuvre — e.g., “Can we give Kentucky to the Russian Federation?” — you can’t help but come away asking, “Who better to supervise and train junior investigators?” Senator Chuck Grassley (R., Iowa) has written to Attorney General Merrick Garland and FBI director Chris Wray, demanding both an inquiry and production of information about cases that Thibault has investigated and supervised. Senator Grassley is also asking the DOJ inspector-general Michael Horowitz to look into the matter. Recall that IG Horowitz has conducted several recent investigations into the FBI’s political bias, mishandling of politically charged cases, and abuse of its FISA surveillance authorities (see, e.g., here, here, here, here, and here). As echoed by our editorial today on the Michael Sussmann acquittal, it is disheartening to watch, day after day, how infection by partisan politics has degraded a great American institution. As a 'further restricted employee' under the the Hatch Act, he's not allowed to actively participate in politics. His social media posts should have gotten him thrown out. Kharn |

Quoted: Link A senior FBI agent under scrutiny for alleged political bias during the Hunter Biden laptop inquiry has left the agency, The Washington Times reported. Two former FBI officials familiar with the situation told the Times that assistant special agent in charge Timothy Thibault, 25, was seen leaving the agency's building on Friday with several escorts. It is still unclear whether he resigned or was forced out. The Newsmax article has an error. He is a 25 year FBI veteran, not 25 years old! I'm surprised at this. Maybe the FBI was worried about this guy being a problem with the blow back from the Trump raid. |

CBP officer in Maine came up in a HSI investigation for child porn distribution and production(STACKS of hard drives apparently, someone said would be enough porn to last 100 lifetimes 24/7). They showed up at work , had armorer "change his Night sights" while he was scheduled to be in a meeting. Guy walked into meeting sans gun belt, was met with 5 guys, cuffs, ect. Apparently he said something like " yes I was doing XYZ, was that wrong, had I known I never would have..." Guy was still "employed" by CBP while in federal lockup 5 states away for nearly 2 years. They couldn't "fire" him until he was fully convicted and sentenced. It wrecked hell with the border crossing's scheduling because they officially had 8 bodies to cover the work, but actually only had 7. the couldn't hire/transfer in a new person because there was already someone there . ![]() |

There's nothing there. 25 years of service is the magic number for federal law enforcement officers. He is retiring with his pension, a supplement that will replicate social security until he hits 62 and access to his retirement savings if he 's old enough.
Given his position and location, he will have no difficulty landing (I'd be surprised if he doesn't have one lined up already) a job with a DC area consulting/contracting firm making more than he did as an ASAC, all the while getting paid his aforementioned pension and supplement. He's gonna be just fine. |

https://www.npr.org/2022/08/30/1120086497/garland-doj-political-activities
snippet from NPR article called "Garland tightens the reins on Justice Dept. employees' political activities" "Attorney General Merrick Garland has set new restrictions on the political activities of some Justice Department employees, while also strongly reminding them of already established limits. Political appointees — those workers who are hired by a presidential administration and are not building their careers in the department — are essentially barred from attending partisan political events such as fundraisers and rallies. Garland in an Aug. 30 memo said that he was ending the long-standing policy of allowing appointees to attend those events if they participated passively and obtained prior approval from the department. Some records seized at Mar-a-Lago may be protected by client-attorney privilege Politics Some records seized at Mar-a-Lago may be protected by client-attorney privilege He added that from now on, appointees will be barred from attending political events during presidential election years, even if the event is for a family member, and they cannot attend political events on the evening of Election Day in a personal capacity. "As Department employees, we have been entrusted with the authority and responsibility to enforce the laws of the United States in a neutral and impartial manner. In fulfilling this responsibility, we must do all we can to maintain public trust and ensure that politics — both in fact and appearance — does not compromise or affect the integrity of our work," Garland wrote. Garland also issued a memo on abiding by the Hatch Act, which walls off public servants from using their government posts to boost their political parties or candidates. Questions have bubbled up recently about protections against improper political influence over the Justice Department, as prosecutors investigate how top secret documents came to be stored at former President Trump's home and also delve into who funded and organized the Jan. 6 Capitol riot." Basically they are ignoring the story of the FBI guy being walked out. Same with CNN. It's like it didn't happen and the FBI is still the good guys going after those white racists. |
