I grew up near NAS Oceana and we watched TOP GUN as kids all the time. I even remember seeing two of the F-5 aggressors painted black fly over our house while in their landing pattern. My brother and I were in awe.
So yes I will watch this movie in the theater. |

Could be 100% fictional, but that seems out of character for Top Gun, at least for US aircraft. |

Speaking of Goose's death, and yes, we know Top Gun is a movie, the entire theatre audience was very sad, with some sniffles in there. It was a sad movie scene.
