That was a GREAT movie, one of Cameron's best films. The Harrier/bridge scene is one of the best aviation scenes ever put to film (due to the realism) and as usual, Bill Paxton stole every scene he was in.

The opening party scenes were filmed in Newport RI. My father went to be try out to be an extra and could have been, but would have needed to provide his own Tux. He didn't think it was worth it at the time.
