Line officers are the only O's that are eligible for Bud/S. There always the post that he was a line officer, in the teams. And for one reason or another converted to the Chaplain Corps. I suppose he could have gotten out and went into th Chaplain Corps as a reservist. He could have also been an enlisted Seal, got out or commissioned in the CC.

I knew a PA that was a Corpsman/Seal, went to PA school and was a Commissioned officer. No longer an operator but still wore his trident.

I also knew a MD that was a dive medical officer and had previously been Army special forces and a Ranger. He wore his tabs on his Navy BDU's it was kind of strange to see. I'm not really sure it was authorized, but who's going to tell him it's not?

My base has an extremely strict no photo/no video/no GPS tagging, etc. policy.

If you don't want pix being taken, don't allow cameras on the base; they obviously didn't care and thus there's pix...yet the media (and GD) will turnthis int yet another TDS episode.

Regarding the savages knowing who's there, they are savages but not totally retarded. They knows there when they come and go, and more then anyone would be comfortable the enemy knowing about you and movement.

The guy that was my mentor when I was with the Marines was a independent Duty Corpsman, ended up at a remote base in 2004, a (shock trauma unit) in Iraq with a small detachment of marines/corpsman. 1 week after he got there there were posters posted in the village nearby offering a reward for killing him. It discribed him down to the T, they thought he was a Dr. He's a tall bald guy, kind of a big head and wears glasses. It even had a drawing of him.

When he got back we met for beers and he brought his laptop with shot tons of photos and he had a photo of the poster. The drawing was pretty good, it was funny but not funny.

He he had the poster framed, it's cool now, then not so much.

Twitter didn't put them, they we never hidden.

I don't see any Trident's in the photos. There only Navy officer I see that I assume is the Chaplain has a FMF pin, the P.O. To also looks like he has a FMF pin, he might be a Religious program specialist. I had a friend on my ship that was one. I called him the Alter boy, he didn't think it was funny.

It's an air base. The big planes landing there give it away. It's a huge place where fobbits eat lots of food and swim at the pool and buy Harley Motorcycles.

Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if embedded photographers (AP, AFP etc) regularly turn over .mil photos to non-US entities. Same as they pose pictures of "refugees" etc.

With memory cards being tiny and easily concealed (microSD, for example), piece of cake for them to copy everything on their primary card and pass it to others.
