...Vivek Ramaswamy, Kristi Noem and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as potential VP picks
VIDEO Donald Trump confirmed six Republicans are on his shortlist for a potential running mate and vice president at a town hall on Monday, including two former opponents and an ex-Democrat. Trump confirmed Florida Governor and one-time foil Ron DeSantis, businessman Vivek Ramaswamy and Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina are all among the ex-rivals being considered. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, Florida Republican Byron Donalds and former Democrat Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard are on his list. A DailyMail.com poll in New Hampshire found Ramasmway is the top choice to be running mate, followed by Scott in second and Tucker Carlson and Ben Carson in joint third. 'All of those people are good. They're all solid,' Trump told Laura Ingraham Monday night. Trump said, however, that deciding on a running mate might not be the biggest decision of his campaign. 'The one thing that always surprises me is that the VP choice always has no impact,' he said. Trump noted that 2008 Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin did have an enormous impact but faced attacks unlike anyone ever had before. He then attempted to make his case for what qualities he felt his running mate should bring to the ticket. 'It's a very important position. You would like to get somebody who could help you from the voters' standpoint,' he said but noted he wanted someone with 'common sense.' The key choice facing Trump will be whether he wants to elevate total loyalty, prowess on the stump, or an ability to appeal to independents and moderates in a closely-divided election. His prior vice president, Mike Pence, isn't even in the mix, after Trump blamed him for lacking 'courage' on January 6 and his own presidential campaign flamed out. Former Democrat Congresswoman from Hawaii Tulsi Gabbard is also on the former president's VP list. Trump goosed the gossip when he said at a Fox News town hall in Iowa this month that 'I know who it's going to be,' although comments from aides at the time suggested Trump may have jumped the gun a bit. Now, just a few weeks later, informal advisors are passing on names. 'I think it would be good for a vice presidential pick to check several boxes: Who helps solidify the base? Who can go into suburban areas and expand support by speaking to these moms in kind compassionate ways?' Hogan Gidley, a former Trump White House press aide who still consults with the former president told DailyMail.com. 'Who can take the America first policies that so many people a vast major of people in his country support and not just implement, but continue to grow those out over not the next four years but the next 12? 'As an added benefit, it would be nice if that person could talk to the press, understand Trump world, understood the president himself, was a fighter, was unflappable.' Advisors are already suggesting names to former President Donald Trump on potential running mates, as he contends with Nikki Haley's continued challenge following his victories in Iowa and New Hampshire. Trump must decide whether to prioritize MAGA loyalty or look to expand his appeal on the margins while leading Joe Biden in polls. |

I don’t care who he picks. That team will be better than the current POTATUS.

Hope the former Democrat isn't Kari Lake. Not that I don't like her and believe she won 100%, but she's not electable.
Tulsi scares me a little bit as next in line of succession if they have Trump snuffed out |

DeSantis? Lol Neither one of them are that stupid.
Trump has his loyal dogs hating DeSantis more than Biden so no way he picks him and DeSantis isn't dumb enough to attach himself to Trump. |
I know who he wont pick
Kamala Harris on Healthcare #kamala #impression #healthcare #newsom #bordercrisis |

DeSanctimonious would be a cuck if he accepted. He should just get surgery to lengthen his femur bones so he can get rid of the lifts.
He should pick none of those; especially Nikki. She's already stabbed him in the back once.

Well he can’t pick someone the swamp would prefer (Scott or Tulsi) because they’d gladly impeach him. So Vivek would be sufficiently unacceptable to the swamp.
Desantis and Trump come from the same state, so that’s a non starter
1. Ron.
2. Kristi. 3. Tim. Pass on the others on the list. But it won't be Ron because DJT will have to move from FL (Ron can't), and that would have huge state income tax implications. Did Kristi clear up the affair allegations? |
Didn't he already say that he had chosen a few weeks back and just wasn't making it public?

They have 100yrs of Democrat experience combined before ever switching up to an R. |

Surly someone will step up that wants thier political career to end sooner rather than later.
Let's face it, he's going to keep floating names as long as he thinks he can recruit their supporters. In the end he will pick a relative nobody as window dressing.
He thought he could control Pence. In the end he couldn't. I doubt he'll make that mistake again. That isn't a never Trump thing. It is a this is politics thing. |
This is the way. |
Picking a person from their own state doesn't make any political sense.
Secretary of State might be more important, the amount of garbage grants through State is friggin insane. Might be a good fit for Ron.

GD will fucking have a melt down if he picks Desantis.
I say Game on, Desantis up to next bat, as it should have been all along. |

VP has become like a First Lady figurehead role other than tie breaking in senate. |

Lol who wants to be his VP? Everyone with 15 yards of the guy gets arrested and sued
That DeSanctimonious nickname disappeared quickly when it came time to start picking a VP.
He should just pick Vivek, that guy seems like he would actually want it. |
Atilla the Hun for VP!! I want to see flying bloody body parts and screams of pain.
he might as well pick DeSantis, he has check out as an effective leader in Fl.
actually Noem would be a solid choice. |
Clickbaity title considering the first paragraph.
But it's a realwar dailymail drop. |

He will make a poor decision as most of his HR decisions are, but we will vote for the asshat anyway.
