Trump needs a Gov but im not crazy about Burgun.

He needs a woman for helping with abortion but Stefanik isn’t a gov.

Scott is cool and would help with blacks but we dont need SC.

Carson will help with blacks and is a smart man. He just doesn’t fire up voters.

We need Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Correct and this list might be a head fake. Huckabee Sanders is by far the best choice out there.

No value added.

While I consider you one of the smarter posters here, I will say I couldn’t disagree more.

It counters the argument that he hates women.

I am absolutely suggesting that. When you talk about the lawsuits accusing him of raping a woman (EJ Carrol) and allegedly sleeping with a prostitute (Stormy Daniels) a woman to defend against that who is known to be a strong Christian family woman is a hell of a surrogate. There are a lot of folks on the far right that don’t like Trump, and while they may not vote for Biden, they might not vote at all. Huckabee Sanders speaks to the Christian Right and if she puts her credibility on the line it will help.

There is no other woman I can see on the ticket and I think there is something to be gained by having a woman. Not a big fan of identity politics, but I understand it, and she isn’t just a woman she is an eminently qualified woman.

I'm not crazy about Vance on that list.  Nothing against Vance, I voted for him before and would vote for him again, but he is a solid vote in the Senate and I don't think Trump needs him to win Ohio so I'd think he'd be better off in the Senate.

Fuck. He probably picked Tim Scott if this list is true. If he gets this guy to be VP, Trump will not last long before they manufacture a way to get him out of the big chair and Scott will be president.

Dumbest move Trump could make is to pick a VP the deep state could cooperate with.  He needs Ramaswamy in there to scare the shit out of the establishment.

I thought that was reserved for former Texas Governor & one time presidential candidate Rick Perry of "I'll eliminate three government agencies if elected, but I only remember two of the three".

Doubt it.  Ramaswami is about to learn some valuable power-lessons.  Trump has a long history of shitting on and walking on his most loyal and faithful of servants.  This isn't unique to Trump - it's an old play.  Ramaswami was a fool to think his prostrations were actually going to get him anywhere.  Trump wrote him off as a bitch.

He comes across as overly deliberative and not decisive. Almost like he’d suffer from analysis paralysis. In some ways this is good, can lead to sound policy rather than shooting from the hip. Then again, our system of checks and balances is supposed to slow the process down to achieve that. However, when the feces hits the motor driven oscillator, I want somebody decisive.

He wouldn't lose any votes  by picking her but I don't think she brings anything to the table .

I think it's been called correctly by a few in this thread it will be Scott . I wasn't really thrilled when he said at the debates he wanted to see another federal abortion ban reinstated and as POTUS he would push for it  .   but I guess he checks the box of going for a minority .

It really shouldn't be the criteria but I guess that's the country we live in now .

Surprised to see only one woman on the list, and she's probably not a front-runner. Given that women vote more than men, not having one on the ticket in 2024 seems risky.

If you say so.

ETA my wife used to be a Sanders/Warren devotee. I challenged what she thought she knew and made her question the bullshit she’d been fed. She is more conservative than 87% of ARF easily.

Sometimes you need somebody to challenge your beliefs to get you thinking. Huckabee Sanders can make a very convincing case that the narrative is wrong. No man is going to do that period.

Dude Trump doesn't need a woman as a VP pick to try and convince batshit crazies he never tried to rape that crazy bitch or that he doesn't hate women . Most of his top executives in his corporations are women .

A women VP pick won't fix that .

If a woman after researching this case  still comes to the conclusion he tried to rape her and attacked her in a dressing room they are  either a partisan or just stupid .

A woman VP won't change that thought process .
