Fuck that ref, he's never any good. Let that fight go two rounds more than it needed to, and still forced O'Malley to practically kill the guy before he'd call it. |

Oh. My.
Ngannou is a scary, scary man. Stipe hung in there longer than anyone should physically be able to, but DAMN. |

Quoted: Ngannou Jones will be the super fight. Would love nothing more than to see Francis beat the SHIT out of Jones. View Quote Is there any other outcome there? I know Jones has a chin but fuck... Francis will dwarf Jones, will be stronger than Jones, will be able to KO Jones, likely can defend a traditional takedown from Jones... |

View Quote Jones, for all his faults, is a brilliant and skilled fighter. He's been in the gym doing god knows what and has had lots of time to work up to heavyweight. He's not at 185 anymore and I assume he's been crushing steaks and mainlining... well... whatever is three steps ahead of USADA. Jon Jones without a weight cut is a scary proposition. Period. |

Quoted: Yep. That fight will be ugly for Jones. View Quote I'm even a fan of Jones the fighter. Whenever they talked about him going to HW I never thought it was a good idea based off his style. While striking he wants to use his range over smaller LHW's to set up his attacks. He doesn't KO people with power, other than landing a clean head kick, at best he gets a TKO or sub off of landing volume. That likely won't work well against a guy like Francis he could throw a hook in the middle of your combo and turn your lights off or at least halt your combo. He's also REALLY bad about leaving his chin exposed when he is engaging and disengaging. He has a strong chin and generally has the range and skill over LHW's to get away with it...but HW's... His wrestling at HW will be harder to pull off as well since his technique and skill will be somewhat negated by the size and strength of true HW's. I would see him getting TD's on the cage with trips, but it's going to be hard to keep a guy on the mat. His submission game will likely still be there, but he's got to get somebody in a position to be subbed first. |

View Quote He bulked up prior to the OSP fight, and while he put on a ton of muscle I still don't think it's a good idea for him. His gas tank and speed were clearly affected by the muscle he put on, although the cut probably had something to do with that as well. If he bulks up like that and doesn't have to cut I'd still expect him to be slower and have less of a gas tank, but not as bad as the OSP fight. |

I still want to see Lewis and Francis fight again. Both have ridiculous power. I know francis is a hell of a lot more athletic but Lewis has the power to KO anyone.

Serious question - last week all the refs were all overly involved with eye pokes and caught shit. Did they intentionally bag off to let some seriously dangerous late strikes to fighters that were KTFO'd already? I've never seen 2 drop strikes on the same night like I saw last night....just asking
BTW fuck Bones Jones but it's an interesting matchup. I'd pay for Lewis or Jones or both. |

View Quote I think the first fight was such a letdown, that both of them will go all out if they rematch. Would be awesome. As much as I like Lewis, I'd have to go with Francis in that one. |

Nate Diaz vs. Leon Edwards booked for UFC 262 in five-round non-title fight co-main event
Nate Diaz makes his long awaited return to action at UFC 262 when he faces off with Leon Edwards in a five-round, non-title co-main event in Houston on May 15. Multiple sources confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Tuesday following an initial report from ESPN. This is expected to be the first time a non-title fight has ever been scheduled for five rounds outside of a main event. Typically the only non-title fights to earn five rounds are main events, but Diaz vs. Edwards will co-headline UFC 262 alongside the vacant lightweight title showdown between Michael Chandler and Charles Oliveira. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.mmafighting.com/platform/amp/2021/3/30/22359627/nate-diaz-vs-leon-edwards-booked-for-ufc-262-in-five-round-non-title-fight-co-main-event |

Card was boring. Main event was pretty good, Whittaker dominated.
