Since Velociraptor was roughly the size of a large turkey, I'm going with something in 12 gauge.

Is the unburnt powder/cavitation flash in the gel being discussed somewhere or is this public knowledge that I didn't know about?
View Quote
Somewhat. It comes up from time to time. The gel is flammable and a small amount is vaporized on impact. When the temporary stretch cavity collapses, it compresses the mixture of air and vaporized gel, which increases temperature. If the fuel/air mixture is right, it diesels.

I still don't understand why with all their R&D ability they had to make the brass shorter to accommodate their bullet.

Love my Henry!

I've shot deer with it too-they die fast. I just got tired of paying for it and use hardcast for everything I use .45-70 for.

No, it's not suitable for Africa. but it can be loaded for most anything on this side of the pond you want to, and at reasonable ranges will take down big bears with no problem.

It worked just fine in the last few years of buffalo hunting, and IA whitetails reward me with steaks and snack sticks when I shoot them with it.

Would those be Gould 330 Gr Hollowpoints Nominal?   How well do they work and what is the loading and powder you have found most accurate and effective?  What is the largest Animal you have taken?
