Damn near every snake keeper/expert that I have spoken to has stated that Bothrops scares them the most.

My dad knew a missionary that got bit by one, the guy almost lost his leg. The only thing that saved him was that it bit his foot and the fangs went all the way through so most of the venom was shot on the ground.
