I just use the empty jugs the new oil came in. crankcase-->drain pan-->jug the new oil came in. Never had one leak yet.

I just use the empty 5qt jugs. I always have a couple of those ready to go. When I collect 8 or so I take them to the local used oil dropoff.

Empty wiper fluid jugs. I don't keep them long - usually take em filled up to Jiffy Boob and they dispose of the oil for free. (on second thought, I sure hope they do - I guess one never knows with Jiffy Boob
 )

I use an older Swiss/German military fuel can... ~5 gallons... once "full" ~ I bring it over to autozone and dump it in their tank, for free.

I drain the oil into a pan, fill engine with new oil, and put old oil in the now empty jugs.
They sit in my garage until I move which is when I'll finally drive them to the dump. |

Got a 30 gallon drum from the previous owner that's nearly full of used racing motor oil.
But then I also got a 50gal that's empty they left. Not sure I want to start filling it with motor oil... or try to turn it into a oil burning furnace... |

Go get an inexpensive 5 gallon water/gas/diesel jug.
They last ...easy to transport....easy to empty....cheap....have handles ....etc. Get a metal one and it will last longer. _ |

I just use the container the new oil came in, just empty the drain pan into them. Have yet to have an issue |

Oil catch pan, then back into the original 5qt oil jug. From there to the township house for use in their used oil heater.

35lb kitty litter containers
I keep two in the garage to fill up with waste oil. Two will last me through oil changes of everything I have, then take them to Auto Zone and dump them. They are durable and you can stack them. I use them for brass too. |

This is what I use. Holds 275 gallons. It is big enough the oil service companies will come empty it for free when it is full which happens about once a year.
