Someone who is familiar with VA law help me out.  It seems to me, sections 1 and 2 are already law and they are asking for it to be amended, by adding section 3:

3. Assembles with one or more persons with the intent of intimidating any person or group of persons by drilling, parading, or marching with any firearm, any explosive or incendiary device, or any components or combination thereof.

Currently it reads:

§ 18.2-433.2. Paramilitary activity prohibited.
A person shall be guilty of unlawful paramilitary activity, punishable as a Class 5 felony if he:

1. Teaches or demonstrates to any other person the use, application, or making of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, knowing or having reason to know or intending that such training will be employed for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder; or

2. Assembles with one or more persons for the purpose of training with, practicing with, or being instructed in the use of any firearm, explosive or incendiary device, or technique capable of causing injury or death to persons, intending to employ such training for use in, or in furtherance of, a civil disorder.

§ 18.2-433.3. Exceptions.
Nothing contained in this article shall be construed to apply to:

1. Any act of a law-enforcement officer performed in the otherwise lawful performance of the officer's official duties;

2. Any activity, undertaken without knowledge of or intent to cause or further a civil disorder, which is intended to teach or practice self-defense or self-defense techniques such as karate clubs or self-defense clinics, and similar lawful activity;

3. Any facility, program or lawful activity related to firearms instruction and training intended to teach the safe handling and use of firearms; or

4. Any other lawful sports or activities related to the individual recreational use or possession of firearms, including but not limited to hunting activities, target shooting, self-defense and firearms collection.

Notwithstanding any language contained herein, no activity of any individual, group, organization or other entity engaged in the lawful display or use of firearms or other weapons or facsimiles thereof shall be deemed to be in violation of this statute.

And the really shitty thing is, the reality is that the people who are the root cause of this will walk away unscathed. But a bunch of working class people on both sides will forever be changed and normal people will do horrible things to each other.

And whats worse is, I can't see how its really going to change a god damn thing. The insidious part of all of this, is no matter what they win.

Someone goes all in on a redflag, and they immediately say "look at what this lunatic did, he was clearly unfit to own guns so the law is clearly needed". Police then amp up and the next redflag call is going to be dangerous as fuck for whoever the poor fuck is that receives it.

Then people start hiding guns, meaning that they are no longer using them which means they win there too, and if someone does try to go shooting with one, and they get caught and the fuckers win again. You use one to defend your home during a home invasion, and they win again because now you just committed a "crime" while defending yourself from being a victim of a crime.

You assemble to protest this, and are carrying and now you have committed yet another "crime". Same applies to joining a "militia" or some other 2A group and they win yet again.

We as a whole have vastly underestimated these mother fuckers. While we sat here "drinking those lib tears" they were planning and manipulating the next outcome so that they would have the last laugh.

And what really fucks us is the money. They have ideology willing to spend vast amounts of money to further their goals. We don't have that whatsoever. There are just no conservative millionaires/billionaires willing to spend money like the left is to influence elections.

And they fuck us yet again because the company's they own are the most popular in the world, and while we sit here and lament the way they spend their dollars we use the very platforms that make them the money they use against us.

What everybody in Va needs to do is stop paying taxes. Why are we paying the very people that are taking our constituitional rights from us. I bet that will get their attention more then firing back.
