Where on earth are all these people coming from? A State Department employee and his wife that lived in my AO adopted two Palestinian infants and I'll be damned if both did not turn out to be radicals when they grew-up and it seemed like it happened as soon as both entered college. Fucking Arafat DNA kicking in I guess, I'm sure college did not help. |

The solution is to COC the homes of these communist politicians. Give them no quarter. Treat them like the enemy they are.

They will never ever be satisfied View Quote We live in a fallen creation which means no one can solve all of life's problems. The typical leftist doesn't understand this and believes all of life's problems are the fault of someone else... Probably a Conservative, White, male, straight, Christian someone else. And, so nothing they do will ever satisfy them. Take the ACA (aka Obamacare,) that was supposed to solve all of our healthcare problems. Conservatives opposed it on the grounds it would screw up healthcare pretty much in the way it has. And what do the Leftists do? They blame Republicans, or the rich, or the greedy, or whoever for the problems and then make plans to double down on their stupid. Which is the other thing about Leftists, they are too arrogant to admit when they were wrong. And they can't admit that they are clueless about how to fix a problem. So they start screwing with zoning laws to prevent elitism or racism or whatever it is they want to blame others for. Obviously this won't solve anything and will create countless other problems, which the Left will then blame on the Right and try to fix with even more stupid shit. |

Fairfax County is all in on that bullshit. We no longer have "homes" according to them, they're "dwelling units." By God, I hate communists.

I thought that's where liberals usually live anyways, they would just be harming themselves.
IDK, I wouldn't know the first thing about that area so I can't say. |

As I understand it, mixed single and multi-family housing used to be a lot more common in the US. However, that was before the government decided to allow the welfare class to run feral. View Quote |

Arlington county government is pulling these shenanigans by zoning fiat under the guise of affordable housing.
They quietly rezoned large parts of Pembroke as multi family from single family and are now trying to ram through changes that would make most of the privately owned and occupied neighborhood viable only to developers. I was at their civics association meeting in August when county staff showed them the exact size of the dildo they were going to use. While most of the residents don't align with us politically, their rights to be secure in their homes is as important as ours. |

Quoted: I don't buy the "infringement" argument. These homeowners shouldn't have a right to prevent other owners from developing their property unless there was some contractual/deeded requirement. Cities should develop naturally according to best use based on market values and freedom. All the planning/zoning that has gone on has distorted what should have happened in a free market. I'd like to see more retail and commercial mixed in my neighborhood. Restaurants, bars, shops. Sterile, mono-development suburbs are boring. I'd say it is other cultural factors that create problems, not construction or zoning de-regulation. View Quote |

Think of how much this will help our economy, the only thing that matters
Tell the poors to GBPSE, they leave the cities, developers make 87x more luuux apartments (2x4 and osb with brick veneer) and many more cities can be like NYC and LA Find the right REITs and your investments will soar, even if everything else is on fire. All that wealth and value generated |

I agree with this idea. But being well-informed and sage with life experience, it should be implemented on a limited test basis.
All legislators and governor who vote for this will have a Section 8 complex built next to their current residence. This may require the voluntary buyout of several properties at a very generous rate (2x, 3x, maybe 4-5x market value) adjacent to said politician. The energy efficient complex will take in residents without being screened to a higher standard than other Section 8 housing. Each politician involved in approving this measure will be required to stay in his residence along with his family as long as the complex supports needy people. The politician can only change his residence by renouncing his US citizenship and permanently moving to South Africa. |

Quoted: Those ordinances also include requiring a certain percentage of multifamily units and a certain percentage of low income housing be added to neighborhoods that were traditionally single family dwellings. They want the political landscape to change so you are really trading one regulation for multiple new ones with political based caveats...trying to alter district make up and change representation. With Democrats you should always be asking why... View Quote |

I know this is hard to swallow if you live in VA, but this is a good thing.
The only way that the right can make any headway at this point is if people see who the left really is. They've been able to hide their true intentions for decades now. They are finally getting bold enough to come out of the shadows with what they want to do with this country. This is an opportunity. People can now see what these policies are going to do to them personally. |

Quoted: Not so sure it works that way. They rezoned my neighborhood to increase density. Of course, it takes money to buy property, tear down the single family house, and develop apartments or high density townhouses. The signs the developers put up are vandalized with “fascist” and “gtfo developers”. It’s the rich developers that get blamed for the change—not the politicians that changed the rules. View Quote |
