Ah fuck yeah I'm in.
Haven't seen you post for awhile, glad to see you back |

very nice
why not just drop the body/bed on a newer truck frame that already had the drive train/axles you wanted and then do a lift? |

Want to follow along and watch me do a restomod on an old Ford truck? View Quote Yes. Yes I do |

Had a couple of those pass through my hands many years ago. Could kick myself now for letting them go.
Sounds like you've got it well thought out, tagging along for the awesomeness. |

The original frame and divorced transfer case are remaining. They have a different look which sets highboys apart from other trucks. |

View Quote I waited about 2 years too long to finally buy one. Been wanting to get one for 10 years. The prices have went crazy on them recently. |

I love watching you spend silly amounts of money
I hope the 10r80 works out better for you than me |

I thought they had stopped using them in the 60's or some reason. The only truck I've ever had with that setup was a 62. |

Tell me more about that front suspension. Where did you get it?

DO IT!!!! Who cares what anyone has to say? I wish I had the skills to do a restomod on a truck... but I am just a cabinet maker. I do sawdust, not so much grease.

Power steering has always been a hangup for me. The old slave cylinder setup was always an issue even back in the early 90s. |

Looks good so far! I’m driving my 95, it’s up for restoration soon. |

More project than I'd undertake, but I'll happily follow along, OP.
Good to have you back. |

Quoted: I really wanted to but there isn’t a stand alone harness for that motor yet. Between Fat Fender Garage and Power by the Hour I have a complete plug and play engine/trans harness that uses a factory computer. Quoted: @RCC1 OP I am all in, I have the same type of thread going on my 1977 Ford Bronco frame off restoration. Dont know if you have done this before, but if you are even on the fence about doing or changing something, do it and dont look back. Here is where my 1977 frame off is now: https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/16476/70B1525C-C5B2-45B5-8B3B-2DC0E7DC74D2-2454249.jpg Also, look into Amp Research power steps, you will never regret it And if you are going to change wiring harnesses, then go to American Auto Wire and dont look at Centech. Centech is a pain in the ass to work with. Bronc View Quote I have a set of amp steps already and my wiring harness is American auto wire. This is my first one I’ve done to this extent. I was happy to find companies like LMC for parts. My end goal is a 70’s styled truck that rides and drives like a new one. |

Good seeing you post @RCC1.
