The reviews were awful. I watched Kevin Smith's review and a lot of it did sound dumb. Was it that terrible?
This is one of those movies, like the punisher movies, that I cannot figure how it can go so wrong from some such an easy and good premise |

My dad took my two kids last weekend and they walked out after 20 minutes.

I actually really liked it and most everyone I know did too. *shrug*

Everything about the DC universe push smacks of clueless executives and creative control being too split up among too many of the wrong people.
What Disney has managed to do with Marvel is nothing short of genius... DC can't pull it off. Even if they have the writers, they seem to lack the support form the producers and other studio folks. DC got lucky with Christopher Nolan at the Batman helm for a while, but that was a fluke. Plan is to catch the movie next week. Man of Steel was mehh, I can't imagine this being better. |

I went in with low expectations and was very pleased that it was better. It's a comic movie. Take it for what it is. Truthfully, they got an aweful lot close to the orginal Frank Miller story. Also, for someone who spent many a pubescent night pining for Linda Carter i think they did a good job casting Wonder Woman. |

My gf wanted to see this, I wanted to see Skullpoopl again.
It wasn't terrible, but it's funny that Deadpool is so much better of a superhero movie than this |
|
It was meh. Not worth seeing in theaters. So many parts were just pointless. The dream sequences were lame.
Most reviewers said the same thing - they tried to cram 4 to 8 movies into one. Instead of "Batman v Superman" it could have been titled "2.5 Hour Justice League Setup and Misc". |

it was long and the batman going crazy scenes were stupid, but other than that i liked it. certainly wasn't as bad as the reviews had said.
|

I'll red box it. Marvel is worth paying the price of admission. DC? Not so much. I'll give em $1.50.

I walked in halfway through and watched 15 minutes.
It's bad. |

I thought it was the best recent "Superman" movie. It wasn't a batman movie or really a team movie. If I gave it a grade it would be B-. It setup the justice league vs Darkseid movie.

Didn't read the reviews but they couldn't have described it too negatively.

Hell, I wouldn't even blame the director. Snyder and the screenwriters had marching orders from higher ups at Warner and had to reverse engineer a plot out of it. And, for what it was, I'd call it a decent movie. |

I liked it. People rave at marvel movies, but I don't know why.
Thor sucked Thor 2 sucked Iron man was good, but each sequel got suckier Incredible hulk sucked Both of them Fantastic 4 sucked Both of them. Ant man sucked Avengers was okay, 2nd was better Captain America was meh, 2nd was better Wolverine origins sucked Ghost Rider sucked Ghost Rider 2 sucked. I like the xmen marvel movies the best. So yeah, I think BvS was fine in the realm of comic movies. |

Shit sounds pretty retarded to me, but I don't know, I didn't see it.
|
|
|
Far better than man of steel. That shit was terrible.
Go watch it if you want. |

If you like morally ambiguous garbage, gratuitous sfx usage to cover lack of character development, and a plot line that never really goes anywhere... See it in the theater... |

I saw it a couple weeks ago and thought it was really good.
I walked out of there trying to figure out what the real agenda was for the reviewers trashing it. In this day and age it seems like all it takes is a couple of big reviewers to trash something and the others seem to fall in line for their reputations sake. Then viewers start trashing it too because they've been told it was bad. Of course I thought the last Agenders movie wasn't that good and it received great reviews. |

Enjoyed it while watching.
Walking out and talking to my daughter, we slowly started to tear it down. By the time we got home we both agreed it was rather poor. |
|
It wasn't bad. It wasn't good. It wasn't very true to the source material. It was visually excellent.
I think you'd have to be ADD to be confused by it... All the motivations are very simple. They aren't explained or well founded but they are very clear. It's worth seeing. |
|
I took my wife and kids to go see it. We liked it and had a good time although I had heard about the negative reviews about it before going. Whenever I watch a movie with my kids, I tend to see it through their eyes and can ignore things that would bother me if I was watching by myself.

There is no possible way that a movie with that title could be worth a damn.

It wasn't a good movie, but it wasn't as bad as the reviews. It was a visual spectacle that was worth seeing in the theater, but the problem was, you could see it could have been SO much better with another director, a better plot and a more fully realized villain.
Battfleck was good, best part of the movie. Superman was a bit wooden and brooding, which I didn't like. Wonder Woman was well done. Jessie Eisenberg was just fucking horrible as Lex Luthor though, and his "evil plan" was fucking stupid. |

Still somewhat Marvel, just not part of the Marvel MCU project because Marvel had already sold the rights to other studios before Disney bought them up whole. At the beginning of those movies, you'll have the Marvel intro, announcing it as a Marvel film |

I thought it was great. What a lot of DC fans don't like about it is the movie doesn't make Superman or Batman out to be the goodie goodit that the comics do. I like the darker heroes anyway so it was all good to me.

The Marvel writers, editors, etc...had no say in the writing or production of the movie other than the insistence that certain characters not be portrayed in too negative a light. The MCU movies are totally controlled by Marvel, the company, and the final decisions about the movie are made by Kevin Feige. |
