My search for a bigger dog to add to the family came to a rapidly unexpected conclusion last night.
I'd been coaxing my wife to adopt a pup from SFDR for a hot minute. I'd show her the threads, the transportation efforts, all the cool stuff. I was ready to throw down the gauntlet on one of the recent dogs (Stella) but my wife dug in her heals on the "raising up as a puppy" requirement. Spent weeks searching adoptapet.com and shelters but could never find one the Missus was interested in. Drove to Walmart last night to pickup Yellowstone Season 2 & 3, and someone was giving away free puppies. I saw Bear from the road, circled & convinced the Minister of Sex & Finance to go take a closer look. Picked him up from the litter and that was it. He wasn't pleased with his bath in dawn last night but he's flea-less & running in his sleep next to me now.  Attached FileBlackmouth Cur (mom) and white German shepherd (dad) mix. Cuteness overload, total chick magnet. Puppy well visit with the vet is tomorrow morning for some shots & deworming. Will talk about getting a chip in his shoulder incase he jumps the fence. |
