Wasn't a fan of the AR, but I have an ACOG and a heavy buffer now instead of the burris, taking her again next month, I'm sure she'll like it more.

Oh, right. We are actually in Southern California for now. That was a private range on an old airstrip.

Well besides my ar15, I took a few friends out to my favorite shooting spot. We got our friend from work to shoot an AR15 for the first time, she did really well!! I also convinced my other friend in the picture to buy an ar15 instead of an AK47 so it was his first time shooting that. Meanwhile I was just fine tuning the ACOG on my rifle . Nothing more satisfying than introducing people to the world of AR15's. Also, I should add that both these people are my bosses, it was fun to do the instructing for once.

Note: I wasn't shooting in this one, just watching where his bullets were hitting so he could sight in.

Same deal, just looking to see where his shots were impacting.

I'm a fraud

Those pictures are actually from the Prescott area in Arizona since I go to school down here, and shooting outside in Washington seems almost impossible at times anyway, if the scenery didn't give it away.

Wasn't trying to get him in trouble just one of the few safety things I noticed throughout this thread.  Other safety items included no eye protection and a few with no hearing protection.

No better place to go shooting in the US, I'm sure of it The pictures I posted are actually at a shooting area that is right next to Gunsite, easily a 1000yds to shoot out to.

I always hate going back to Washington since shooting is a chore at that point.

I took my two sons shooting again today. They learn more and more each trip. My 11 year-old is improving at a steady rate. The 8 year-old is hit or miss (pardon the pun) with his ability from one range trip to the next.

Get him to quit resting the mag on the ground. Could cause problems and teaches bad form.
