The remakes suck ass. Part of what makes the story work is the back and forth from past to present. Not to mention the whiny asshole (Tozier?) in the adult version of the remake. I was hoping that Pennywise would carry him off and kill him in a slow horribly gruesome way.

I actually enjoyed the 2012 version of Red Dawn. That being said, I believe they made a huge mistake calling it Red Dawn, call it anything else, but that was not a remake. If you decouple it from the 1984 Red Dawn, it's good.

Flight of the Phoenix? I've never seen the 1965 Jimmy Stewart version but the 2002 version with Dennis Quaid was pretty good... I like how they changed the twist at the end to suit the modern setting.

Can't re-make until you make. The one that came out was not related to the book, it was already finished, and the director bought rights to use the title because of a few superficial similarities. He never even read it, and is a compleat tard libcommie. The first Starship Troopers movie based on the book will be the first one.

The naval battle though in the 2016 was top notch.
