In upstate New York I have never seen a Moon Pie but since I’m not a snack cake buyer they could well be available up here. I have nice memories of RC Cola because my grandmother always had it in her fridge back in the late ‘60s and early ‘70s. I can’t say that I really liked RC but I loved my grandma and it’s one of many things that I associate with a very happy time and place.

I can’t remember the last time I saw RC Cola for sale here but it’s got to be close to forty years or more. You blink your eyes and decades fly by.

I typically despise marshmallows, but a moonpie is an exception.....

We eat them with Ale-8-One.  nanner moon pie and an Ale8 is pretty good.

I drunk a lot of RC growing up, even had it with moon pies pretty often.

I haven't had a moon pie or RC in a long time.

Stupid question.  Were there ever “regular” moon pies?  All I find now are double deckers and mini’s.  I thought they used to make a full size single decker, but have not seen one in years.

Most of what I see are the singles.  Being in the Mardi Gras culture here, I usually see the mini size, but I prefer the originals.

OK, since I started the thread, I felt a need to indulge in this wonderful meal today.

I bought a box of Moon Pie minis in Banana...A box of six was $1.

Colt was higher than that~

I found an RC today and got it.

It tasted a lot like what I remember pepsi tasking like. I still think I would prefer a coke over an RC.

Granddaughter loves them. I keep the mini ones in stock for her. We share.

Ha. That’s the great part of being a grandparent to a toddler. Sharing our childhood sweets.

It seems to be to taste somewhere between the two of them to me?...

As someone else said that had family working in a RC bottling plant.....34 degrees is best.
