Quoted: We're talking about doing a mobile groomer for Riley. He's never liked going to the vet and it's worse now that all of the vets are doing the bullshit of 'stay in your car and we'll come and get the dog.' No pet owners allowed in the building. Not just ours, seems to be all of them are doing it. Stupid. He could use a bath and his nails trimmed. Used to just jump in the tub but hates it now that his arthritis has made jumping in painful. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: You say that, but there’s been more than one occasion where a dog that’s really well behaved when the owner is present has tried to eat my face when the owner wasn’t there. I still have the scar from where a Golden Retriever tried to take out one of my eyes. Ooof, I see your point. Working as a dog groomer for a while gives you an entirely different perspective on some people’s little angels. Mah baby dindu nuffin! There was a lot of that. More than you can possibly imagine. |

I have no idea why people take short coated dogs to the groomer, excepting when the owner is physically unable to properly bathe the dog. |

Quoted: Getting ready for a ruck. Putting on the weighted vest for the first time in awhile. We’ll see how the first 3 miles go. I may do another after the wife stops. View Quote I did not do 6. But we did 4 together. In 1:10. Not bad for the middle of the day and carrying about 70lbs between the ruck and the weighted vest. |

Quoted: Quoted: I have no idea why people take short coated dogs to the groomer, excepting when the owner is physically unable to properly bathe the dog. You know why. They're lazy. Ok, yeah. It still strikes me as more work to load them up and drive across town than to spend the 10-15 minutes it takes to properly bathe a dog and trim nails. |

Valentine HATED baths, would not let me trim her nails.
I'd still bathe her, but when it was nails time she go to the groomer's for the full treatment. |

Quoted: So I'm building a third AR; currently have a 14.5" non rail with an Aimpoint micro as my HD gun, that'll probably stay the same. Then currently have a 16" with NX8 1-8/RMR combo. Third build will be an 11.5" that will temporarily wear the NX8/RMR, but I'd like to bring the weight down, so I'm debating between one of these, or one of these, with this piggybacked on whichever I choose. The TA33 is lighter and has a better eye relief/eyebox, but I'm on the side that (given modern tech) battery > tritium/fiber optic for civilian use which favors the TA02, but it has the eye relief/eyebox of the TA01/31 View Quote ACOGs are dumb. It’s not too late to change your mind. |

It’s not too late to change your mind. Why? I've got my NX8 1-8/RMR and an Aimpoint; have looked through and used a variety of optics; I like the piggyback RMR as a close up/fast optic, and I like the ACOGs as 50-500yd optics. I prefer the NX8, but the NX8/RMR is 27oz (and without a Cola G mount and connections that set up would cost $2600) vs a TA02/RMR at less than 12oz (and ~$1650) |
