Tag, because cheap Sitka gear sounds tempting...
but I wanna know what they did first |

"BOZEMAN, MONTANA, UNITED STATES, August 19, 2024 /EINPresswire.com/ -- SITKA Gear, the established leader in high-performance hunting apparel, is set to unveil the latest innovation in concealment technology on September 9."

Neckbeards be crashing the site, I can’t get a page to finish loading lol

I'm assuming it's something political or Sitka had some business agreement with EuroOptic and fucked them over
|
|
that is what I came here to ask as well lol
in for more info I was planing on visiting there store in a couple of mounths to pick out a shell. geuss I might be buying before then ?? |

They are owned by WL Gore and its still a privately held company (Goretex), and Bob Gore died in 2020, maybe its something to do with changes in ownership/management?
|
|
Sitka is owned by WL Gore. May or may not have anything to do with EuroOptic’s decision.
|
|
Whatever it is, I’d back Eurooptic.
They are a stand up company in any number of ways. |

I had to look out of curiosity and will now return to my people, the Poors.

Quoted: SG absolutely makes a better pack, and their base layers are great, but Sitka makes some outstanding clothing. Having owned an Eberlestock pack, they don't even deserve to be mentioned in the same sentence as SG or Sitka, and their clothing is nothing special. View Quote Why is that? |

Several years ago they came out against drilling in ANWR, but I'm curious as to what's happened more recently. Probably some woke/DEI bullshit they've tried to push on their dealers/distributors if I had to guess.
|
|
I like EO and I prefer Kuiu anyway.
Eberlestock pack View Quote Wasn't impressed with mine, they went a little too crazy on the internal storage pockets, which takes up a lot of useable space. Their range bag is really nice. |
|
Sitka makes good stuff. Expensive no doubt but for people who seriously hunt it’s worth the investment.
I mix it with first lite. I know first lite also had issues with some political opinions. It’s a shame seems the last of the right is going down in the outdoor community |
|
Almost sounds like Euro will not get favored status or discount level.

Meh, Sitka had their own stuff marked down more than that a month ago.

|
Over $500 dollars for a Made in China hunting parka that probably costs $5 to make. LMAO.
I gladly pay more, when I can, for items that are made in the US, Canada, or Europe. I refuse to pay more just because a brand puts their name on it. More for you guys I guess. |

Gotta have something to do with the latest release. Not giving EO dibs on product or something.

Not saying anything like that happened here but it is a real thing that is propagating throughout corporate "america". |

Yeah, we had a customer company pull that "use minority owned businesses" BS with us. We buy from vendors based on cost and quality, I don't give a shit about what color or gender they are. |

Nobody "really" cares what they did as long as they can get a deal on it.

EuroOotic is a name I forgot about.
They have Steiner P4Xi for 599. Tempting but I just miss the 450 dollar days of them. Hell I'd grab one for 500 I really love that scooe |

Is all of Sitka's gear made in China? I avoid Commies at every opportunity.
|

I foresee a massive price increase, couple that with Sitka's so-called new "social-responsibility"... who knows

Quoted: Their packs, or at least the two J34s I had, would really start to fold or crumple with weight in them, plus they are stupid heavy empty, damn near twice the other leading packs. The internal stays were designed to bend to match your back for fit, but that bend made them not nearly rigid enough once you got meat in the bag. The design doesn't allow the pack to lift the weight off your shoulders and onto your hips. I was also surprised to find that the opening at the top of the bag wasn't big enough to stick a cow elk rear quarter inside, and without a load shelf, you're going to need to bone the meat out to make it fit. The next year I bought a SG Sky Talus and never looked back, it (and the Mystery Ranch I had in between) make the Eberlestock look like a Jansport. View Quote I have a SG 2200 that I liked so much I bought a Kiowa 3200 for this year. |
