Everyone loves the Gulf GT-40 but these have to be right up there. The 50s and 60s had some of the greatest-looking cars ever.

I was beginning to wonder if we'd go the whole thread without at least on Chaparral!

I'm also wondering why we haven't seen at least one Lola on here?

I've always been partial to the GT40s and the Lancia rally cars though.

The Daytona was “prettier”…..in race form.
Street trim - the curves of the nosecone blending into the front fenders / hood Superbird was more refined.

You'd think that you'd know that's not a longtail being that it's your favorite race car. That's a K (kurz) short tail.

I'd love to own - and drive - a Grand Sport replica.   But the GT40 and Ferrari are just at another level, aesthetically speaking.

Sprint Cars! 410 cubic inch V8 making nearly 900HP weighing 1400 lbs (with a driver). One of mankind’s finest inventions.

More power-to-weight than a F1 car.

That whole era of Trans Am when it was mostly American Pony Cars had some beautiful paint schemes. Besides NASCAR it was another "race on Sunday, sell on Monday" series. The Pony Car Wars were serious business to the big three in those days.
