It means cocksuckers...same way pipelayer is someone who lays pipe, pipehitter is someone who hits (sucks) on pipes.

Welp, this thread has been informative as I had no idea.
Next question will be.. how long before someone puts it on their license plate? |

when I hear the term I’m thinking it means crack smokers. Would never affiliate it with some good guys that a veterans.

In the context of Pulp Fiction it meant crack heads as in those who hit a crack pipe. Crack heads are usually mentally unstable willing to do just about anything for a little rock which a guy like Wallace would provide in exchange for doing horrific things to Zed.

It certainly meant crack using individuals but was misinterpreted to mean individuals who would use pieces of plumbing or fencing as cudgels and "pipehitter" became a term for what some might call a "bad hombre". This isn't much different from how this place has mangled some meanings, such as neckbeard. View Quote |

A pipehitter is a badass or violent individual. The people on here that think it refers to a crackhead have no idea what they are talking about. This is the only place where people constantly say that. View Quote |

They spam email inboxes to try and sell swag I have no interest in.

Based on the reaction after blowing Marvin's head off I'd say it was accidental. He also wasn't one of Wallace's crew. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Crack heads. Funny that it was misappropriated by folks that didn’t understand the dialog in Pulp Fiction, but just thought it was some ominous sounding shit.

I doubt hired thugs put much emphasis on firearm handling safety rules. I thought the implication of the quoted post was that they planned to shoot Marvin in the car. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes |

Back in the late 70s and 80s the term "pipe hitter" and pipe hitters union was used as a slang for guys who were getting laid.
Now a military apparel Co. Uses it on their merchandise. There is an AR lower being made with it as well. |

It was big with the Teams about 10 or so years ago. I saw several Devgru guys wearing PHU shirts. It's like Tapout for special ops

It’s has always sounded like some prison yard slang for gay shit.
If your name is vague and confusing, it’s probably not a good name for your moto tshirt company. |

It’s a term that any normal human attributes to some one hitting a pipe or hitting a dick.
But since some special forces types misunderstood a movie line we now have jock sniffers trying desperately to change the meaning of words and invent history. Just google this and you get a bunch of: “ACKTUALLY, the term pipe hitter has been around sine the 1820s, it has always meant badass” “ACKTUALLY, it’s a term in the special forces community for some who does a lot of training” |

It is a term used in blue collar trade, mostly in the North, to describe someone who you can give any task to and he will get after it 110% with no complaints or words spoken. I think it has mostly been adopted by others at this point. |

Quoted: No need to provide a "source". I was in my 20s in the 80s and we used to hear it in bars. Intermixed with pipe layers union. Before the internet people actually went out and socialized. Also used then around NYC by the leg breaker types. Nerds.... View Quote |

See the problem is a bunch of nerdy white guys here are trying to divine meaning from a single line in a 25 year old movie written by a nerdy white guy. The line itself was delivered by a pretty cool black guy, who half of GD would probably boycott if they put it together that he played a “woke” role as gay firefighter.
When you link to Ving Rhames or QT saying that the line is about drug users instead of enforcers, I’ll give you your due. But until then, it’s pretty clear to anyone with an ounce of rational thought that he was referring to big thugs that specialize in “tune-ups.” |
