Eh... Predator was okay for an action flick, but it's not at the top of the list.
Some of you guys... Your hearts are in the right place, but your guy values are poorly misguided. Conan has what makes it an icon of the male psyche: lots of heads getting chopped off, savage pit fighting to the death, carousing with wenches, drinking of ale until you fall over in a drunken stupor, stopping at nothing to avenge wronged loved ones, reveling in your newly-stolen riches, riding the open country on horseback in search adventure and killing anyone who tries to stop you, all the essentials to offend the sensibilities of the politically-correct woke crowd and make a guy wanna stand up and yell "Fuck yeah! Bein' a guy ROCKS!!!" |

I watched Robert Altman's 1973 film The Long Goodbye last night. Arnold had a non-speaking, uncredited role as a henchman (with a mustache!). The OP brought it to mind, just thought I'd mention it.

Predator, just based on body mass alone.
Conan the Barbarian is a close second. The prayer to Crom and subsequent fight might be the manliest thing ever captured on film. |

Quoted: The Revenant fought Indigenous peeps, fought a bear, fought the winter, fought a souless desert of emptiness, fought a posse, fought the water, fought an evil murderous religion invoking dude. Fought doubts. Fought his shattered and infected body. It ranks right up there with Last of the Mohicans in the beautimous filming and good storyline.
