Infection deep under an old root canal. Felt like being burned constantly for 3 days before I could see a dentist. I feel sorry for the generations of people before antibiotics.

I used to think it was pinched nerves back pain till I got pancreatitis, it was off the charts. Five days in the hospital, morphine every four hours was good!!
Passing a gall stone and it caused pancreatitis. but last month plural effusion it was to thick to drain so that injected "tissue plasminogen activator" -- tPA two big ass tubes into my chest and i had to roll around for 4 hours to drain it . We did this 3 fucking times.

I got my first kidney stone this year. 10mm lodged trying to come out and I had to get it broke up. I was in so much pain on the way to the ER I was puking.

Broken both collarbones twice, both arms twice, one leg, had both knees replaced, had a spinal fluid leak, herniated discs, head fractured, hemorrhoid surgery twice, ripped my groin open during a bad fall and had two vasectomies and one reversal. But nothing hurt as bad as having my infant son die in my arms.

holy shit
That was actually medically interesting though. Have a nice life. |
I have shattered out my elbow and snapped my humerus in half and tore my rotater cuff and posterior labrum all in one bang. I would say that was my worst pain.
Anastomotic leak after a colon section was removed. Sepsis is not a good time.
Pain level was simply indescribable. |
Herniated disc at L4-L5. I couldn't stand up for more than a few minutes at a time and walking any distance caused excruciating pain. I didn't know it was a medical emergency at the time, but the nerve was pinched so badly that I couldn't even piss standing up.

Realization of the truth.
Although the time I ruptured my L4-L5 abs experienced 24/7 blinding pain for 8 months was up there on the bad list. |
Being repeatedly raped at seven. I'm 44 now and I am still affected by it from time to time.

While attempting 225 overhead press, I dislocated my shoulder, tore my labrum, and broke the joint.
It was not a pleasant day. |
When I got stung in the neck buy a summbitch hornet last week. Or maybe the MRSA staff infection in the finger that I let go too long. That was pretty fuggin painful.
Compression fracture of my L1,L2,L3 vertabrae ( broken back) from a skiing accident. The most white hot pain I’ve ever felt. The incident and trying to leave the hospital.
I've had a bunch of injuries in my life, back, neck, broken bones, torn ligaments and tendons, etc, etc.
But they didn't come close to the pain produced by one 6mm kidney stone. |

Knee replacement. I had violent muscle spasms about 2 weeks in....Tight hamstring on my right side all my life. View Quote Not easy to describe how painful it was - & that was before they took away the morphine pump. Then I was popping oxycodone for a long time. |

My first dump 4 days after my hemorrhoid surgery. Women that say "you don't know what is like to have a baby" have never shit lumps of coal through butt hole stitches without pain meds before.

Hip socket fracture, pelvis fracture, two transverse process fractures, and three fractured ribs.
Then a friend who was visiting made me laugh. |

As if dealing with the kidney stone, subsequent surgery, and stents going up my dick for 1.5 weeks was bad enough, the constipation from the pain meds got so bad when I would finally have a BM it really felt like a watermelon was coming out my butthole there was so much pain. The wound drain being ripped out of the exit hole of my gunshot wound is the only thing that ever made me pass out from the pain.

I've suffered gout, have been shot twice and broken more bones than I can remember, but the worse pain I've felt has been when I got a MRSA infection in my right lower leg.
Gout flair in both feet. I couldn’t sleep for two days it hurt so bad before my flair med took hold.
Second was dry socket from quad wisdom teeth removal. Effing doctor only gave me 5 pain pills. I was seriously considering stabbing my ear. |

C diff coupled with appendicitis. I tried to "man up" and dealt with it for about a week after my appendix burst. I didn't realize that's what happened.
Ended up in the hospital for 10 days in quarantine because the c diff. It fucking sucked. The only time I managed to push away the pain was laying in a scalding hot shower in a fetal position. |

Testicular torsion, one day I just woke up with a dull pain in my ball sack that progressively got worse. Made it almost 16 hours before going to the ER. It was like being kicked in the balls constantly and the only reason I waited so long was because it was the first day on the job as a deputy.
Health insurance didn't kick in until 90 days so I had to pay several thousand dollars. This is the only pain I have been in where I couldn't sleep at all. |

Pinched exiting nerve caused by a ruptured disc in the L4-5 S1 area. Brought on by having sex while on my back while on a hard plastic playground set while at a weird angle (you had to be there)
It literally felt like someone was ripping my left thigh and calf off of my body, repeatedly. Oxy took the edge off but w/ my high metabolism, I burn through pain meds in as little as four hours. Take one every eight hours? More like every four'ish. Lost about 95% of the strength in my left calf. Took months to get it back. Calf raises using a 10lb plate was a chore. But compared to some of you guys, my pain seems trivial. |
Kidney stones only slightly worse than the diverticulitis.
Both left me on the floor wishing for death. |

Femur broke in 50+ pieces in 1973. In "traction" for 3 months. Pain level of "10" 24/7 for 2.5 months; morphine shots every 4 hours for entire time
At 2 months, 85% of my complete body put in "body cast"; strapped to slab in 1968 Pontiac hearst and driven from Fargo ND to Seattle{28 hours} Cut cast off and put back in traction in Seattle for 3 more weeks. A few other bad ones but nothing like that. I am 71 and won a 600 yard F class match yesterday, so remember; do not give up, set backs make us tough. Some of you have had it 100 times harder than me; stay focused and be nice to your doctors and nurses. |
Kidney stone, bad for sure. But, I've had migraines where the pain level was so high I truly wished I would die to end the pain.

I had my testicles ripped out of the ole beanbag in a bike accident.
Then stuffed back in and sewn up sans anesthetic. What do I win? |
