5 pages and I'm only the second person to choose Ark: Survival Evolved...
Runners up include Starcraft 2, Doom/Doom 2, and Diablo 2. |
|
Tough choices, single player horizon zero dawn, rdr2, days gone and resident evil games. Multiplayer socom games and bad company 2.
|
|
Metroid II for the original Game Boy. They packed a hell of a lot of cool stuff into that game/format. Yeah, I'm old.

Quoted: Masters of Orion I play Overwatch quite a bit. I also run a new character through Diablo 3 every season. View Quote MOO or MOO2. Though I kinda lost interest in MoO2 after I basically ruined the game for myself with a "borg" race build. Feudal telepathic and basically anything else. Build one cruiser and a destroyer or 2 with just nuclear missiles and rush the enemy. Build outposts until you find their home system. Overwhelm their starbase with a missile barrage. Then mind control the planet. Boom. Now you win, as you now have a slave race with the AI's bullshit race stats to build you more armadas. That strat only works if you zerg rush, tho. If the Psilons are on the map and you don't take them out quick, they'll be a bit of a problem until you can take out every other enemy in the game. You might have to dump bribes on them to keep them from attacking you. |

The Witcher 3
Red Dead Redemption 2 Cyberpunk 2077 Mass Effect trilogy |

Resident Evil 4.
Mass Effect; 1, 3, and 2, in that order. Metroid Prime is a very close third. |

I've never been a game nut, but what I do remember are:
N64: 007 Goldeneye Perfect Dark Rush Xbox OG: Halo New stuff: Call of Duty Forza |

TIE Fighter Collector's CD-ROM. Only game I'd run home from the bus stop to play that much more of.
|
|
Bioshock followed by Bioshock 2. Then Skyrim.
I have a few games. I just keep playing those three over and over. I've played through Bioshock multiple times. It isn't AS fun since I know what's coming up. The Splicers sneaking up on me scared the shit out of me at first. |

SOCOM!!! Any of them besides that heaping pile of shit they call SOCOM 4.
|
|
Counter Strike. Been playing since 4th grade, im 30 now.
Witcher 3 Doom Prey |

My wife and I both really liked Fallout 3.
I played too much Doom, Mechwarrior 2 and Need For Speed when I was a grad student in the 90s. |

For sheer joy and entertainment playing a game, Skyrim, by a lot. There was just the right level of complexity in crafting and there was just so much to do in the game.
Deus Ex was another great one, with such a dark, gritty, dystopian atmosphere. So much to do in that game as far as exploring and finding different ways to complete objectives. Well-written storyline too. World of Warcraft was fun but got progressively less fun after Mists of Pandaria. Legion was the last expansion I liked. The current expansion just straight-up sucks, I don't like any of the changes they made to the game with the scaling crap. Any of the Mario Kart games are fun. |

If I could find a good 486DX66 computer to play it on I'd lose anther year. https://www.ar15.com/media/mediaFiles/11800/3101154-chuck_yeagers_air_combat_pc_1_1_-1929158.JPG View Quote "Welcome to Chuck Yeager's Air Combat...it's a great day for flying." The primitive voice audio and the conversational way the missions were introduced was great. I also appreciated the historic actual mission profiles. Great game! It made a significant contribution to my interest in joining the USAF in my college years. |

Tough call. Maybe Duke Nukem back in the late 90’s when playing online against other players was still a new thing.

Advent. Played on an IDS (Intel Development System). Used 8" floppy disks written in Fortran 77.

Such a great game, but I don't think it did all that well in arcades, and Sega never ported it to any of their home consoles. |
