Something practical that won't attract to much attention and not cost too much for insurance and registration.

I'm thinking a sporty hatchback like a GR Corolla.

Ya know, the guy who tangled with Ayrton Senna.

That would be my absolute first lottery purchase.

If money was no object, I'd have way more than ONE car. But what I'd really love is a fully restored 1969 Challenger with the biggest supercharged engine I could stuff into it -- and a modern suspension.

Never meet you hero's.  Lots of videos on YouTube of guys reviewing Countach's.  Turns out they were really pretty lousy.

That's the point. Cars today are soulless machines. I grew up driving my dad's 1969 Ford Torino as a teenager in the late 80's. I miss all the things that made it an adventure. My aunt has my granddad's 1964 Mercury. I drove it to the gas station to fill it up for her yesterday. Haven't driven an old vehicle in decades. I loved every second of it. I'll take the Countach in a second over any modern super car.

I've always had a thing for the BMW 3.0 from the 1970s.  I knew a guy who had one about 30 years ago and he only wanted about 12K for it.  I passed on it but wish I hadn't.

A mid '80s Renault hatchback.  Red.  Faded red, like it's spent a decade in the sun and salt along the Mediterranean coast.

I'd want to keep the car in Marseille.  Some unremarkable apartment, maybe on the southeast side of the city.

This right here but if I hit the lottery I'd have one of each vintage. Then I'd commission Camilo Pardo to do some livery's.

I know that I'd buy them because driving one public roads is riskier when you have liquid assets.  You're a "target defendant" and you know the nuisance suits are coming from people who want to be "paid to go away."

That said, I'd love a 911 Turbo S and a Cayenne Turbo GT when I need something "practical".  They're acceptably quick and don't advertise quite as much as a Lambo, Lotus, or Ferrari.  Not really "under the radar" though.

Ford Pinto with unaltered gas tank.

4speed with bald tires and a 8track radio playing a really warn copy of Bob Seeger and the Silver Bullet band.

And fuzzy steering wheel cover.

Probably an Audi A8 or S8, depending on how much money we're talking. Not a huge difference in price, but mentally it would be difficult breaking into the six figure range for a car. Unless I had huge fuck you money.

I like the way they look and they're understated
