Based on about 60% of the choices here, I'm forming a theory about why lottery winners have such short life spans.

Sure, a 1,000 hp supercar looks really cool, but how far would you realistically get before you center-punched a light pole in its eggshell carbon fiber body?

I put 5k miles on my 66 mustang last year with a road course based suspension, 13in 4 pot vented 2 piece discs on all 4 corners, with 380whp and a 5spd into a 3.5 rear wirh a trutrac.

Car handles as well or better than my 2015 GT Perf Pack.

The fact that there is nothing there to help save yourblife and you are only held in place with a lap belt helps keep you thinking of your mortality.

Pure analog death machine where triple digits properly make you weigh whether it is worth pushing it.

A lot of what I would buy/build would be the exact same experience.

Feature not a bug. I want a CGT specifically because it’s got tons of power and no traction control, no stability control, no active suspension, no active aero, no AWD, no dual clutch, no automatic transmission and no mercy.

Exactly why I picked a rather "pedestrian" Cayman GT4. I know my limits, it's not really all that much faster than my current car.

Probably just an F-150.  Winning the lottery for me means finally getting to stay home and do the things I enjoy, almost none of which involve driving.

Every minute spent in a car is a minute of my life that I count as wasted.

That's where I was going. I did the Porsche Driving Experience in Stuttgart in a 911 4S, and was half soaked with sweat and glad to be alive at the end (you "chase" a factory driver who talks to you on a radio, on back country roads). Our instructor said, "you have to trust the car, I'm going to push you well out of your comfort zone." That was the understatement of the century.

Two cars:

1) Lamborghini Miura

2) Track down my first car (3rd gen Camaro) if it even still exists (very high likelihood it's either been crushed or is in a junkyard somewhere forgotten with a tree growing through the engine bay).

A seller on BAT owns like ~6 of the ~14 Mercedes gull wings. He said that he knew some guy from poor means. he would would say "one day I'm going to buy one those and then I'm gunn daily drive it." Years later he became ultra wealthy and purchased one. Then he called back and asked for the optional OEM tires chains.  He said he has pictures of the guy driving through the mountains of Colorado in it.

I've already owned so many cars and driven others when I used to pretend to be an auto journalist it would be tough to choose.

But if I was going to get something "first" to go in my new lottery mcmansion It would probably be a Porsche 959 or 959 Dakar. Sunbeam Tiger would be a close 2nd followed by a Datsun 2000 roadster. My daily would probably be a combo of a C8 2LT and a m760Li Xdrive depending on weather and distances. I'd have an AMG G-wagon for going to lowes and home depot.

If I was going to get really ridiculous i'd get a BMW 7 series with the uparmor package and have someone make a diesel V12 by grafting two I6 diesel's from the 335d together.

Hope it's a mega win - You're gonna hafta pony up a lot more than the $6M than Porsche let go the last Dakar entry. I'm not sure what it would take now, but prying it out seeing post COViD pricing surely gonna be much more dear than it was 5 years ago. If you could pry at all.

It's the right choice tho - lmk if you need a hand if you ever get the opportunity @crownvic96

. Worst case I just buy one of the new 911 Dakars and call it a day. I won't kick one of those out of my garage either.

I think my first priority would be a lottery beach house and a lottery rifle with a lottery LPVO on it.  I might just fix up my current vehicle.  It isn't bad.  Might get a "junker" vehicle to use when I'm sweaty and dirty, then a nicer vehicle to use when I pick up the high end call girls.
