I’m talking mid aged dad who ain’t gonna ever take a class in his plate carrier or go join a milita or start the 2nd civil war.
What’s your min? AR15 and pistol mag pouches? Tq or full fak? Multi tool pouch? Flashlight pouch? Edit: plates and flag patch are given |
|
Esstac ASS, 3 mag placard, 1 tq in front under placard and 1 tq on the back.
|
|
Like I said plates and mags but a couple TQs and knowing how to properly use them would be a good idea.
Less is more imo |
|
|
I'd recommend at minimum stuff to make holes and stuff to plug holes, so mags and a bleeder kit (minimum 1 TQ, hemostatic gauze, pressure bandage, etc).
Really just depends on what your envisioned use is for the PC. Depending on use, it could make sense to have less, or more. |

Bedside in Texas: PC with Level IVs, battle belt, pistol, MK18, helmet.
Afghanistan plate carrier: "These plates are heavy, I wonder if I could just leave them at home" Carrier at home has mag pouches, ifak, tourniquet, hydration pack, PTT and a radio pouch. Other stuff goes on the belt. I might add an admin pouch or dangler again. |

Can someone explain the idea with putting your aid kit on the front of your carrier?

I realized after a motorcycle wreck that between injury and adrenaline I could not even remove my own helmet. All fine motor control lost. Range of motion was severely compromised due to injured arms and torso. It was a fucking hopeless feeling and I dont want to rely on my ability to get something off my back or one handed on the off-side. |

Ceramic plates with 3 mags hanging in the closet and will probably never be used other than to walk around house in my underwear while watching cartoons.

GGG minimalist carrier with ceramic level 4s and 3 mags in a triple shingle. Actually looking to get away from the minimalist and go with something bigger to carry more shit.

Plate carrier just holds mags, tourniquet, earpro, shears, Celox and a few chest seals. I have a dangler I can attach when needed with multitool, more med-kit, gun cleaning stuff, etc. The belt carries mags, med-kit, pistol, knife and a dump/storage pouch. |

Lvl4 plates
At least 3 rifle nags At least 3 pistol nags 2 TQs Some sort of fixed blade knife Light source |

Quoted: 2 rifle mags, NAR first aid kit with TQ, juggernaut phone carrier. I really thought the phone carrier was brilliant: Who would I be keying up on my baofeng? It makes way more sense to have a phone to call the cops if shits going down at my house. Plus I can access home cameras, various chat apps, control lights around my house, etc. Having got it now, I feel pretty dopey about it. It doesn't make practical sense to keep my phone on my PC, it really needs a dedicated phone if I'm going to go that way. No way to easily charge the phone either. I'm still not sure what I plan to do with it. https://i.imgur.com/QfunAOb.png View Quote Out of all the "tactical" gear that's made its way over to the civilian side, the wannabe EUD / atak/ whatever civilians wanna call it, is the only one that makes me scratch my head. I promise I'm not a boomer, but I'm on the other side of the coin. No reason for civilians to carry an atak device, that I can make out anyway. But... do what makes you feel good and I'm certainly against restrictions of any kind for civ use, no matter how useless. ETA I can't grammar good |

To answer OP:
My home PC is slick. It's a low-vis carrier, I have TQ throughout my car, and my room, and in all of my bags. We have medical equipment in the house, and I've been shopping for a solid kit for my car, as well as for the bag I carry to and from work. My work equipment is more robust but that's not what you're asking about, so I'll forgo that. And it'll save me from typing |

3 rifle mags across the front and a tourniquet in the elastic cummerbund
|
|
Plates, 3 AR mags, 2 tourniquets and an IFAK
Nothing too crazy, trying to keep it light and functional. |

Funny you should ask. I inventoried my PC, Battle Belt and Helmet last night.

I'm slowly piecing mine together. So far it has 3 rifle mags, 1 pistol mag, radio and first aid kit. I plan on adding a multi tool and will probably call it a day. It is already getting heavier than I want it to be.

I just have three mags in the front of mine, but I am not high speed low drag like many here. It's an emergency tool just like my fire extinguisher, I don't overthink it.

Plates and mags with a small pouch for misc items. I try and keep it simple for an older guy like myself.
My regular chest harness only had mags and a holder for flashlight |
