I've never had homemade cool whip. I used to make whipped cream at home and add just a tiny bit of sugar and vanilla.

I tried several recipes for the dust. Wound up with a bunch of mediocre spices.

I make my own whip cream.  I like to add powdered sugar and vanilla to it.

Good ones.  I’ve never had home made tomato soup before either.  Only from a can.

I can’t remember ever having homemade cheese before either.

Wife made a good popcorn one modifying the recipe used the nutritional yeast recommended and just changed the other ingredients by about 15% heavier.

Hard cheeses. The aged stuff...

Made cottage and curd before... Just not anything like a cheddar.

Devotee of Alton Brown and making stuff from scratch. Some time it turns out, some times it doesn't. Home made wonton were dead easy... Homemade lasagna noodles... not so much.

My wife makes that, well it’s better than Cool Whip, fluffy, but more, richer flavor.
She can also just crank out a meringue. She’s the baker in the house.
I think because of these skills, her mashed potatoes are truly next level. Everyone clamors for them any special event. Me included.

I’ve had home made Indian food, it ruins restaurant or take out. Same with most SE Asian food. Make yourself a friend of a Filipino family that has Momma living with them… damn. Good friend who’s a Chiropractor is also Vietnamese is a true artist in the kitchen.
He could stop cracking backs and have a top restaurant in no time. Probably make more cracking backs though, lol.

I’d like to try a good home made Tiramisu. It’s one of my favorite deserts, but I don’t think I’ve had it home made.
Buca di Beppo has a pretty good version, and there was a little Italian joint near us that had a great one.
It may have been home made, even if it was served in a restaurant. I’ll never know, they closed because of Covid. F China!!

I made some three years ago.  It's actually very simple, but time-consuming.  It's a good way to deal with a surplus crop of homegrown tomatoes.

Nope. I did crack a few half gallon jars from quart jar bands hitting the shoulder. Leave an inch headroom, no issues. I have switched to commercial plastic containers for ease of stacking though.
