I live out in the sticks down a dirt and gravel road.  It's not like going down the Rubicon or anything, but you definitely need to be in a car or pickup or SUV with a normal, decent ride height and ground clearance to get down it without any troubles.

I've always loved cars.  Living out here, my vehicle of choice has always been a pickup truck, but I'd love to own something sporty, new or old.  I have a fascination with the Acura NSX, I think it'd be a super neat car to own.  I love Porsches.  Mustangs are amazing.  I would love to have a sporty sedan for a daily driver, something like an Audi A6 or BMW 5 Series.  But the road to the house is kinda long and kinda rough, just ain't practical or easy.  I should probably have the road redone with crush and run or something, I'll get to it one of these days.  Also I don't have a garage or a covered car port or anything like that, and if I had a nice car I'd kinda like a way to keep it out of the elements when it's parked.

I used to have a lowered Chevy Cobalt that would make Bo Duke proud how fast it would go down dirt roads. And some of said roads it's been questionable if I would need 4x4 in my Jeep to make it down after it's been raining.

Years ago, i did side work running a D3 track loader clearing land. I grinned like an idiot running that thing. An amazingly efficient and effective piece of machinery. Felt like a five year old with my first Tonka.

I want a Rayfield Caliburn. It's pretty unrealistic.

No way on the sea plane? Where does he fly out of? I swear I’ve seen that land a few times in front of our house on the Columbia above wells dam.

My kids going for a ride in my uncle's sea plane that he flew all the way from Washington state. They landed in a nearby lake.

My unrealistic vehicle would probably be a ram trx. Or just another power wagon, but with 40s. Not that exciting I guess...

That must be him. He said in all these years of owning it, he just saw another one for the first time while in WV, of all places. He lives in Anacortes, WA. He's a retired Col. in the AF and former Phantom pilot who flew a combat tour in Vietnam, later instructor at the AF Academy. He was on track to be an astronaut when they found a kidney stone and was grounded out of test pilot school. All these years later, turns out the stone never passed. But he always continued to fly his little seaplane. Here's the video from my phone I sent up w/ my son.

That Maserati is gorgeous.

I actually thought about buying one of these about 30 years ago:

Subcompact tractor with bucket lift.  Kubota, Deere, don’t care.  Got about a days worth of work, but just want one.  Hell, throw in a back hoe option too.

Just do it.  You'll find more uses for it than you can think of now. I've but about 300 hours on mine in less than 2 years. Lots of landscaping and tree work. They're back savers for sure.

Very Nice!! Yea he landed out front of my house and popped the front windshield if I remember right, and proceeded to fish. I never got the N number and could never find out who made it or anything as all I had was my memory. I can’t remember if he anchored it or just floated. I live on the Wells dam pool (lake Pateros), I’ve seen it twice? Maybe three times here? Anacortes isn’t that far by air, we’re on the Columbia north of Chelan. I’m still in shock and of all places! Is he back there for good or coming back? That sucks about the kidney stone, but maybe it was divine intervention? He’s still here today and a number of test pilots are not.
