1966 427 S/C Cobra. The most I ever insulted a man was asking him if it was a kit car. Ouch, and he didn't deck you in the jaw right then and there? I was 14-15. He was nice about it. He actually showed me how to rapidly spot kits. The factory cars are aluminum bodies, they have a line of rivets on the inside of the wheel well. I don't know if they are still in business, but at least one kit company offered aluminum bodies as an option. As I recall, they also offered kits of the 289 Cobra and the hardtop Cobra (can't remember what it was called). |

Saw a red Ferrari 458 Italia here in Amarillo. Sexy in person.

Original Shelby AC Cobra, one of 7 in it's class at the Concours show every year(only 7 because thats how many are left), owner is in Wichita KS area and actually :gasp: drives the thing around whereas the other 6 cars in its class rarely even get started let alone actually driven

I've seen almost every single exotic ever made driving around on the road. One of the joys of living in South Florida I guess
Veyron Mclaren Enzo Lamborghinis and Ferraris are like mustangs down here |
There's quite a few people in my area who have some nice cars. I know a guy with a Rolls Royce Phantom and there's a guy down the road from me who has a Bentley Continental.

rarest??? Probably Hermann Goering's Mercedes Limo......about 1954 or '55 maybe...
Or maybe it's Clessie Cummins 1934 (?) Auburn with a Cummins Diesel in it...... |
Saw one of these in the grocery store parking lot in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Got a pic on my phone to prove it. . .but this is just a stock photo.
MSRP is north of a quarter mil. . .and goes up rapidly from there. Sure, I've seen other cars in a museum or dealership, but this is the most expensive I've ever seen in the wild. |
This was in a small town near me. The plate on the back read Veit's Vettes. They currently have a Lambo Gallardo Spyder.

It doesn't count since it wasn't on the road, but the Bugatti Veyron strapped down to the flight deck of some dude's 250ft yacht would have to be tops for me. ETA: I work like 4 feet from South Beach. Nothing is really that exotic anymore, especially on a friday or saturday night My buddies brother has a Veyron and lives in South Beach. He also has a yacht, but I don't remember how big it is. Very wealthy dude he is..... |
Driven a few Veyrons, a Zonda, just about every Ferrari including an Enzo, and a Maybach!
The rarest one I have ever gotten close too is a 69 Hemi Cuda Convertable! |

I guy around my area has one of these http://www.gtspirit.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/2.jpg What is the worst thing to do to a C5 vette, Alex? See plenty of Rolls, Ferraris, etc. Most uncommon I've seen is a McLaren MP4 Dealer out in Pinellas Park has about 12 of them right now. Yeah, I didn't say it was unobtanium, just uncommon One of the other guys brought it up, I have seen a 63 studebaker avanti, with the Paxton blower option at my machinist. Probably less of those than the mclarens |

Last time I was in Chicago I saw a few Ferrari 458 Italias and a Lexus LFA. On the way home I saw a '67 Shelby GT 500 on the interstate, but I have no clue if it was legit.

Lamborghini Superleggere. Owned by my neighbor. Absolutely incredible car.

South Beach is stupid with ferraris, maseratis, bentleys, etc. saw a rolls too.

Its tough to narrow down, Ive seen a few of the cars posted but among the cars Ive seen that stands out is the Jaguar E-Type. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/9a/1963_Jaguar_XK-E_Roadster.jpg/800px-1963_Jaguar_XK-E_Roadster.jpg I have one that same color, but a few years newer with the open headlamps. Also have one of four Land Rovers built for a tv show where it was driven around the world- but it wasn't originally a rare car, it was a regular production one that was customized so not sure if it counts. It has the pedigree now that it went around the world though. Rarest car I've seen outside of a car show or museum is probably the Aventador I got to drive about two months ago. |

1970 Hemi Cuda, a shop in AL worked on it for 18 months. It sold on Barrett Jackson for $450,000 at a LOSS from what the guy had in it with all the restoration and mods. Most awesome muscle car ever.
Used to go into a Lamborghini distributor a few years ago about once a week. Got to see all of the models up close and personal,

Local guy I know through a buddy has a Ferrari Californian ( a Ferris Bueller car ), Porsche Carrera GT and a few other lessor exotics, I see him all the time in one of his rides ( lives in the same hood that my mother is in ). |

Quoted: Bill Harrah's 1977 "Jerrari" A Jeep Wagoneer with a Ferrari V12 engine installed. Pretty damn cool, one of a kind, and not something you expect to see. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jerrari I saw that as a kid at his museum in Reno, it wasn't quite done yet, his guys were still working on it. It was a damn shame when Bill died and his kids sold it all off. Prior it was in like 4 HUGE warehouses ( and a bunch sitting outside because they needed more room ) and you could pay a couple of bucks and spend the whole day looking at damn near everything ever made. Saw John Wayne's 1953 Corvette there, the cars from the Great race movie, James Dean's merc, etc...

Living in Miami seeing super cars/ rare cars is almost a daily occurrence. This morning I saw a GT40.

Name one. Drive to Los Angeles on any weekend and you're likely to see a few quarter million dollar vehicles tooling around. The movie and TV stars have it and flaunt it. Why on any given day you may get to tool down own of the freeways with them right next to you at the amazing speed of 2-3 mph. This, but probably the rarest were in a private collection owned by a retired CBS celebrity/executive. He was in a group of amateur and/or retired musicians or non-music professionals that got together for good times, and my FIL was in the group. They had a summer party every year. He had a few one of a kind Daimlers, Jags, etc. Almost all were operational and he'd run one or two around the neighborhood. They were almost all factory one ofs, not limited production models. |

Friend growing up his dad had a low low low serial number 53 vette.
69 k series mustang. Some euro douche daily driving a Lamborghini Murciélago, in the rain, saw him at the gas station filling it up bumping euro douche music that sounded almost like the shit from super troppers. Nice car but almost lost my fricking mind seeing him fill it with regular gas. Just saw it the other day, sounds like beaten shit fucking a lawn mower now. Some dick nuts uber fuck douche with his diablo, the hatred this mother earned was unrivaled. Also another fucknuts douchedick who puts regular shit gas in his lambo as he calls it, in his mayback and bently. He was douche babbling about he was soo much better than everyone in the coffee shop, when he left he turned and blurted out "I hope I don;t spill this in my LAMBO!". I shot back "Don't think anyone gives a shit!". I asked if anyone else really hopes he spilled his latte in his "LAMBO!" and got chuckles and hand raises from all. Later found out he starves his cars with budget gas, and boughtt them all with daddy's cash. Really hope he fell on hard times. Dealership owner almost ran me off the road in his F50. |

I think it would be a MB SLR McLaren barely beating out the Porsche Carrera GT. Funny thing is you wouldn't think the SLR is all that expense when you look at it...especially compared to something like a Lambo/Ferrari. I kinda like that about the SLR. I think the next closest ones were Bentleys and Rolls Royces.
There's a 458 and F430 around here, I've seen a veyron driving before and an F1 at a show.
I've seen 3 or 4 Lambo Gallardos around, I think I saw a Murcielago one time, and there's an area slightly north of me where it seems as if everyone drives a Bentley. I've never seen anything reeally exotic out on the road.
I've been spending quite a bit of time in Bahrain and Dubai... its sickening. Last time I was in Bahrain, I saw some stupid arab kid smash his Corvette into the back of a stopped dump truck at a red light. |
Saw a Bentley Continental GT at a diner in south Jersey today. Someone drove a $200,000 car to have a $10 dinner.
Bugatti Royale.
Granted, it was driving around outside a car show, but it was still on the street |
I see everything around here, one of the newest Ferrari's today, looked nice in black with red trim. Cool Porsche 356 Speedster a while back at a gas station. Mazeratti's are a dime a dozen, Lambo this morning. It gets quite boring.
Saw a real 1997 McLaren F1 GTR (only 28 built) when i was a kid, traveling in the UK. There is no other car i would ever take over that specific car.
Saw a Veyron parked outside the mall at 24th & Camelback (senior moment- I can't think of the malls name), and another on Rodeo Drive 2 weeks ago.
Have seen several Cobras around here that I always assume are replicars, but what if even one isn't? That would be pretty f'ing rare! |
Saw a Ford GT coming back from vacation in South Dakota.
MN doesn't see many true exotics. Probably has something to do with the weather and roads. |

Porsche Carrera GT not many out there. I remember seeing one at our local Porsche dealership when they were new and after looking it up just now I'm surprised one made it to my area. |
