I don't watch much television, but I've seen the large scale pandering that's going on lately.
I think in many cases they're not pandering to black folks but instead, they're pandering to woke white folks. Virtue signaling, as they say. I was watching something (F1 practice or qualifying, I think), and they had a series of short ads promoting the Olympics. Every one of them that I saw featured a black athlete that is competing this year. F1 is not a sport that you typically associate with black viewership. I'm not a fan of blatant racial pandering. In a way, it's racist in its own right, and it insults the intelligence of whites and blacks alike. |

America is is changing, this cannot be argued. However, that change is not natural. It is the result of political policy. Policy implemented, as I said before, against the will of the people. Forces in our government are changing America into something else. Who asked for America to be changed? When was that decided on? In 1965, America was the greatest country on earth. Fifty years later, a museum in the Smithsonian Institution was openly disparaging Western culture. A national museum, openly disparaging the culture that made America as successful as it was. Who asked for that? Who voted for that? We are paying for it though. I said before, you and three friends jump into a car with four working steering wheels. You start the car and say, "Let's go get something to eat." What happens next... is multiculturalism. What's funny is, these kinds of arguments only seem to happen in the West. Show me another region where people think it's a virtue to turn their back on their culture. Show me an example in history of a successful nation so profoundly changing its racial, ethnic, and cultural make-up and surviving. What's especially galling is that in multicultural America, not one of the new cultures we're supposed to be embracing is even remotely as successful as our own. Who trades something that works for something that doesn't? Crazy people... and naive idealists. |

Just saw the latest Credit Karma commercial for a family with 2 kids and a car horn that won't stop honking while they're eating dinner, watching tv, etc. The final scene is the couple laying in bed saying "we really need a new car". The couple is a 50's-aged black dude and a similarly aged, perhaps a bit younger white dude.
I genuinely don't care what consenting adults do, but I don't understand the current marketing team's thinking that this somehow reaches the broadest possible number of demographics. As an almost-50 white dude, I don't see this commercial and think "well hell, that product is for me....there I am right there in the commercial!" I think most people would think that instead, they're marketing to a tiny percentage of the population who can identify with being middle-aged, gay and in an interracial relationship and having kids. It doesn't make sense to me. |
