Honestly it’s cheaper to buy a CMP field grade and sell what you don’t need. I wish we could get Italian relievers like our northern friends.

I have a 906 Series Steyr AUG w/16"  barrel -- and its my end of the world rifle (not pictured below).  I've had it close to 20 years; put thousand upon thousands of rounds through it with ZERO malfunction.  Its impervious to weather and basically indestructible. Has a cold hammer forged barrel that will take 100K plus rounds through it, made by the folks that INVENTED cold hammer barrels.

Its sub-gun small.  Can clear rooms with it like a subgun. Can be taken apart and thrown in a small book-bag; making it very easy to transport/conceal should that be needed.

Magazine are perhaps the best design on the planet and once again; almost indestructible.  Can slap in a 42 round mag if needed.

The perfect SHTF or end-of-world rifle.
