I'm with OBE1CanOB, Rem Accelerators are the accurate way to shoot 30-30 at any distance. Wouldn't use them on larger game, but they are some flat shooting stuff. Too bad they aren't on the market anymore. Beyond that, 150gr core-lokt shoot just fine.

Leverevolution 160 gr is all I use now in my 30-30.

My go-to 30-30 ammo is labeled ".35Rem"

Winchester Powermax or Federal Fusion.
Leverevolution sucks. I pegged a deer at a measured 200 yards and it dropped like a rock and then took off like a rocket. It was raining and not a drop of blood was found. One of those "what the hell happened" moments. |

I've always wondered about the 125 grain loads.
Are they intended for varmints, medium sized game or defensive use? |

My preferred load is the Federal 125gr JHP. Its called a JHP, but its more of a semi-jacketed HP.
