Losing my job in IT at the end of the month...
ETA: Not for a company in the IT sector, so not related. |

Well Linked In just got their valuation slapped by a few firms due to their recent earnings. That might have caused herd selling.

I've got more work queued than I know what to do with, almost 200 percent over projection. Shit, I'm even winning RFP's (something I've always laughed off).

Left my IT job last week. 20 years of IT... time to do something else.
Now I'm working in Knowledge Management. |

Met two 20 something aged females at a party last year that said they worked in IT.
Found out later they both worked at our local Wal-Mart in the electronics department as sales clerks. IT isn't what I thought it was...... |

It's about time IT workers started loosing jobs. They didn't need a $100k + Corvette

I always thought the value on linkedin was... optimistic.
As to the rest, we are probably due for another cycle of buyouts and bankruptcies in the start up space. meh. It's a lot of money, but it's impact on most of the IT world is modest at best. |

Just got finished looking at LSU's classifieds on their website. No less than ten IT jobs.
Man, I REALLY want to leave CA and hang with my family in LA. Would cash out of my house here and buy something sweet there. |

Outsourcing IT to third world countries is becoming popular. My former employer is shedding thousands of jobs, especially in its IT departments. Glad I bailed when I did. Americans are being replaced with Indians in Bangalore.
When I was still working there, those Indians couldn't code their way oit of a paper bag. No critical thinking skills either. I'll be munching on my popcorn as their infrastructure fails. Iremember the last SAP implementations those monkeys did. Took down on of our AP warehouses for weeks. Paralyzed operations to the point that we had hundreds of warehouse works staring at each other and sweeping the floors. |

Lost my IT related job 12/23/2015.
Not looking too good for finding another really soon either. Everyone and their brother is laying off around here. |

One or two are awesome and an asset to have. They're the ones who show up in the early meetings to make the good impressions, or the ones who (try to) unfuck the problems caused by the rest. |
