Going to be there for 2 days / 1 night.
Any suggestions? TIA |

Texas Ranger's museum might be nice. Dr. Pepper museum is there too.

If you have a woman with you, she'll probably want to see the Silos.
Texas Ranger Hall of Fame as previously stated. Dr. Pepper Museum is a must. You can visit Mt. Carmel, please bring a cash donation for the drop box and follow their signs/written requests. It is still an active place of worship and home to families. |

Buzzard Billy's restaurant used to have some really good food, seafood, cajun etc. Been a few years since we've been so you might want to Yelp or Trip Advisor it and see what folks are saying. It on the NW corner of I-35 and the Brazos River. Let me know how it is if you go there please.

Do not eat BBQ. Every place in town sucks.
Watch your butthole if you go near any football players |

Haven’t been since the change and super hard to find the entrance when that area was under construction. |

Texas Ranger Museum.
Waco Mammoth National Monument. Give all your money to Chip and Joanna in exchange for faux-farmy chinesium tat. |
|
Homestead north of town on 933 near Gholson. Makers at a pretty high level of old school craftsmanship. Good cafe.
Balcones if you like Sweet Whiskeys. |

My Son and I got suckered into a trip there while visiting family in Katy. To this day, we refer to anything shitty as 'getting waco'd'....if that gives you any indication of our experience. I took about 8 steps into that Gaines' facility and immediately walked out letting the girls 'shop'. Just like me, they saw the china tags and inflated prices but they chose to at least look at stuff. My Son and I got some bad food truck BBQ but some good sweet tea and waited dutifully.

I don’t know if there is anything out there anymore and it is in china springs about 30 minutes outside of waco. If you like beer there are a few breweries downtown. |

Be prepared to be harassed for having an out of state plate driving in Texas.

George O’s is pretty tasty. I think they’re closed on Sundays.

Here’s another vote for the Texas Ranger Museum.
I went to Baylor a few years back and can also suggest the ‘Bear Pit’ if you have kids. They (usually) have a couple live bears on display on campus. Otherwise the Silo/Magnolia stuff is a hit with the ladies but is massively crowded and overpriced. There are no good gun shops or ranges in town, so you’re not missing much in that department. If you’re looking for a decent hike, Cameron park has some cool cliffside trails. |

Mayborn Museum
Texas Ranger Museum Dr Pepper Museum Waco Zoo Mammoth site If you are looking for BBQ... Helbergs on Hwy 6 or Jaspers on Clifton st. |

The Texas Rangers Museum.
The Doris Miller Memorial is about four blocks away. |

Quoted: No one messed with me, but then again it was a Kentucky tag. Texans know better. Texans know better. Half the plates in Waco around I-35 are out of state from all the college students. Baylor University is in the heart of it and their nice new football stadium is pretty impressive. |

When the windows rattle and there is a sound like a F15 in full afterburner that just doesn't go away, it's Elon Musk testing a rocket engine- 30 miles away.
He's building one a day, so there's always a test going. Awesome sound, even from 30 miles away. |

If you’re wanting to pick up some pretty good chocolates for your SO then go there next to Milo

Not sure if you meant to quote me, I haven't been harrassed in Texas with out of state plates. I thought the other guys comment was odd. |

Don’t forget the Fruitcakes, fruitcakes of all kinds can be forum at the Collins Street Bakery store.

The Texas Ranger Museum has a great firearms collection. It's easy to find, right off of I-35 on the south side of the Brazos River.

I have never heard anyone from Texas complain about out of state, United States drivers. Foreign nationals driving in Houston or Dallas are a completely different story, it is peddle to the metal bumper cars and horns. |
