Ben Matlock or Perry Mason?
|
|
As a child in Russia we had a channel for English speaking programmes.
I recall a lawyer called Petrocelli ? Was he popular here or did we get your 3rd rate leftovers? |
|
I like watching matlock more. But he really didn't do too much legal stuff. Just send tyler out to investigate somebody, then get the real killer to confess on the stand in the last 8 minutes of the episode.
Perry Mason does actually give legal advice and take into account possession of evidence and guilty knowledge. Plus Perry mason had more episodes as well as 30 movies. He's got Matlock beat on experience. As far as better lawyer, is Perry. As far as more entertaining to watch, its Matlock. View Quote He ran for 2 seasons back in the 70s? Everybody who heard of him over here is dead or in a nursing home. |

Quoted: Harvey View Quote Corporate lawyer who proved he could handle his own in a criminal case , with all of the resources & bottomless pockets of a corporate law firm As much as I liked the show , and admired the tenacity of Harvey's character .... if it were my ass on the line - Better Call Saul |

LA Law had some great lawyers
but dan fielding from night court was the best |

Perry Mason will be on Me TV here in about 10 minutes. Going to grab a shower and hit the casino this morning though.

I've been watching Perry Mason reruns and almost all of them are really good stories.
Matlock couldn't hold a candle to Perry Mason, and Paul Drake was a 1950's slayer of the poontang. |

View Quote @Legs11 I’ve never seen that show but I remember Dad always talking about it. I seem to remember he said Petrocelli was an attorney who drove around in a pick up truck and helped people. |

Don't know about the best, but the worst had to be Hamilton Burger. He lost 225 murder cases.

Fairly Legal for the street scenes of what was once San Francisco.

Perry Mason will always be #1. From about 5-13 years old I spent several weeks with my grandma each summer (she lived on the coast) and almost every day we ate lunch and watched Perry together. Good times!

View Quote I watched Petrocelli mainly because Barry Newman was the main character in Vanishing Point. To answer OP, Perry was a much better lawyer. |

Tragg would always say: "Yes, that's my mark. " I would always think: what kind of unique mark did he make on those guns? |

Perry, even though he was a homo like Raymond Burr was. Perry had to be because I'd have been all over Della every chance I got.
