I'd never really heard of the fat bastard until his lame-ass speech at the convention. That was what lead folks to believe he's the only hope? And he only weakly denies that he might switch parties, practically has butt sex with FBHO on the boardwalk. And this is what we're supposed to vote for?
If there's not a Paul / Cruz ticket I don't see much hope. |
|
People misheard a movie quote as, "Obese one, you're my only hope."
The whole thing snowballed from there. |

I guess you didn't hear the news. Chris Christie is dead. The autopsy revealed that he died from asphyxiation. The doctor found a piece of doughnut the size of a golf ball lodged in his throat, and annotated death by dunkin donuts. They named a doughnut in his honor, called the Cristy Creme.

awww, cute. You're blaming your failure on others already. WSJ reports that Christie is the leading candidate among Republicans. Libertarians messing with the polls? Or are you just in denial? |
|

Same with Giuliani.
The media loved Giuliani. What Giuliani (and now Christie) didnt realize is that something the liberal media wants to hear... Is not the same thing conservatives who vote in Republican caucuses want to hear... Giuliani learned the hard way, and Christie will get the exact same results (worser-?) as Giuliani if he is stupid enough to try... |

According to the polls, Christie has a slim lead over both Cruz and Paul. 3-4% The 2016 election is a long caucus/primary season away yet. The midterms will be much more indicative of what we're willing to endure. I believe the producing class is getting sick of all the socialist bullshit and will opt for a return to constitutional/conservative politics. Especially when everybody does their taxes this year and next. 'They' said Regan didn't have a chance. |

View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Yeah... That clip was about a week or two out from the NJ governors election... Context is everything... Romney was providing cover-fire for the Republican in the race. Christie, for all his faults, was the better candidate for the NJ job. Yeah... Outside the context of a hard-fought battle for the Governorship in NJ... Outside the context of the fact that democrats were using Romneys rejection of Christie against Christie... Outside the context of the *ongoing* race... Outside political reality, libertarians are trying to say Romney was endorsing Christie four years out... A book had just been released outlining Romneys complete-and-total rejection of Christie. It had insider information that Romney had found Christie *completely* toxic and repulsive. Romney wanted absolutely nothing to do with Christie. Then Christie faced re-election. Romney did the right thing by clarifying his support for Christie for the NJ governors race... Romney was in good company. Most other conservatives endorsed Christie vs. the Democrat. And vs. NBC, Romney did a good job in deflecting the attack, and in presenting a united front... Honestly. Could Christie help unite the party...? Sure he can. Is Romney going to outline how *live* on NBC?!?! He did the right thing in defending the Republican n a direct-race with a Democrat during an NBC attack where the NBC "reporter" is trying to show a divided party, and a divided front. Romney supported the republican in an ongoing R vs D race on NBC, and tried to give confidence to voters to vote for Christie in the NJ Governors race. I can't find fault with Romney. When formal endorsements are made, Romney will endorse the key players in the Tea Party movement who endorsed his candidacy for President before the race got underway... Rubio, Paul, Haley, Brewer, Ryan... That is the short-list... Romney was trying to shoot-back at NBC, and defend the Republican in an ongoing race between a R and a D... And even with all Christies faults, most conservatives agree with Romney that Christie is better than a D as governor... |
|
If the Presidency isn't a combo of Paul/Cruz/Palin/West, then America will be electing clinton "lite".
The MSM and the moderate republicans like the cristie/ryan team because they are more palapable to moderate/progressives. They don't understand that they will just keep doing what obama did except with a R by their name instead of a D. |

Reality is that he needs to win South Carolina. Against Haley or Ryan. That won't happen. Then he needs to win Florida against Rubio or Ryan. That is political reality. View Quote Did you just copy-and-paste Reagan's campaign platform for 1980?!? Political reality says that Reagan vs. Carter, Reagan pretty-much kept his campaign promises, even after dealing with Democrats in California... To be clear, I don't support Christie. Political reality has Haley kicking his teeth in in the S Carolina Primary... Switch Haley with Ryan, same result... But... The perfect purist conservative candidate only exists in the minds of retards and in the hopes and dreams of liberal democrats... |

Quoted:
Paul Ryan is just as bad as Christie. View Quote Unbelievable. Ryan is (like Reagan) absolutely not perfect. The perfect pure conservative candidate does not exist in political reality. Political reality right now is that Ryan does not have a majority in the Senate on his side, and a sitting president who has vowed to derail and veto and fight any pure conservative agenda. Given the rock and a hard place, clear-cut pro-gun Ryan has stayed in the fight given the constraints of his position to put his constituents first. Ryan, and his ideals are an asset to our side of the line. Ryan's ability to effectively communicate our ideals are an asset to our side of the line. Ryan... Like Reagan... Is an asset. An imperfect, not "pure" asset... But an asset nonetheless. Pure conservatives --who can win elections, and push conservative ideals forward-- do not exist in political reality... |
