I miss Rhodesia, they were such nice and polite people.

When I was 17, I tried to enlist and wrote them. They sent me enlistment papers and after I sent them in they replied a couple months later and politely thanked me for my interest but said they were no longer accepting foreigners and included a recruiting poster for my troubles.

I lost the poster but still have the rejection letter and envelope with stamps.

ETA: and no, I don't think Africa "belongs to the Africans." However I think colonizing, or conquering there is a pretty hopeless undertaking. There are some places where Western Civilization can't thrive.
