I forgot my gym bag this morning.  

I moved my at-home bodyweight circuit to today, and I'll do my programmed barbell lifts tomorrow.  I gotta confess, though, getting stronger and leaner isn't helping my aesthetics all that much much.

How bad was your hernia? Where was it?
Umbilical, so right at the navel.  It completed the set (had left and right inguinal when I was a kid).  Mind you, the hernia was NOT related to lifting, I was actually not managing to get to the gym for a few weeks while the in-laws came and visited, and BAM, just out of nowhere, pain like a ball of barbed wire in my guts...yeah, that was the abdominal wall tearing.

Lol, I know your just stirring the pot to be funny but just curious how many of you would take on my Friday workout.

Go warm up, however you want.

Then for the SWOD (strength work out of the day) go do a 5x5 dumb bell row. Bent over, floor to chest, no jerking, get it all the way up to the chest. Do 5 sets, work up to your max for 5 reps, each arm. Most Gyms don't have more than 100lb DB so,use those. Remember, no jerking.

Now, 2 rounds of the following:

20 hang power cleans (135lbs)
15 floor press (135lbs)
1/2 mile run


Do that twice, and post up your time.



C'mon fatty........post up your time.

I had been going pretty religiously, as in every day for a long time but the past month my motivation levels have fluctuated and I've been averaging about 2-3x a week at most.

Couple of reasons for this..

A)  There are some other things I want to be spending my time doing at the moment...Sadly I just don't have the time to do everything.

B)  The gym I use has suddenly gotten pretty crowded, resulting in waits on some stations of several minutes.  

C)  I can feel some previous weight training related injuries flaring up, so I've been waiting for them to subside a little before I go back.

I'll get back to it eventually, but I am a little irritated at my current lack of motivation.

Also keep going back and forth on the home gym thing.  Some days Im like "yes, do it", but I really don't want to bring more stuff into the house.
