When the vast majority of people are not capable of firing a handgun accurately anyway, why spend the scratch for a Staccato when a Glock 19 is more accurate than most of us and way cheaper?
|
|
Because it's a lot nicer to shoot than a Glock, it's fancy compared to a Glock, the steel frame version basically doesn't move, etc
But I still carry a G19 every day. |
|
I bought some with the thought of replacing my glocks I carry and I still carry my glocks.
Eta: they are nice and fun to shoot and very accurate. I have a p and a c2 both with rmrs. |
|
It has nothing to do with how accurate the gun is, it is how accurate the gun makes the shooter. I can shoot a 2011 WAY better than my comp'd 320. Mainly it boils down to the trigger.
|
|
It's cool but I'm not sure it's $2500 cool for a carry gun.
I'm good with my glock 42. I'd FO if she was $1500 and a light weight single stack tho... |

|
They're very nice pistols. I shoot a CZ Shadow 2 for Carry Optics but have thought about shooting the Staccato some more for Limited Optics.

Probably because we recently saw a LEO unalive a BG with nice gear.

Because some people aren't poor and like nice things?
Why do poor/cheap people always feel the need to talk shit about the stuff they can't afford or are too cheap to buy? |
|
OP: WHY ARE YOU LIKING WHAT i DON'T LIKE!!!!!?????
1. Because we can. 2. It's a nicer gun. 3. You're not our supervisor. 4. A G19 isn't the best answer to everything and isn't the most accurate either. 4. Why are you worried about it? 5. It's our money to do as we please, not yours to to decide in any part of this decision making process. 6. Because America. 7. Pound sand. |

why not? people buy trucks but never drive off road, or towing anything. yet they pay the gas bill and maintenance of larger vehicle when smaller cheaper one would do just fine.

I’ve yet to see a shooter that can’t shoot a 3011 better than a 19. All skill levels.

Probably the 3rd time I ever fired handguns, I went to a range and rented a glock, a sig p226, a kriss vector, and a Sig 1911. I was massively more accurate at 10 yards with the 1911 than the others. It wasn't even close. The straight back pull of the trigger and grip angle makes it better than all the others for effortless accuracy.

Most of arfcom is not most of the gun owning community
Most of arfcom isn’t buying staccatos |

Why don't free men buy what I think they should buy!!!!!!
I have a TRX that I only drive to work and has never been off pavement. I have a Wrangler that I leave the top off and drive on pavement on sunny days. I own many mechanical watches that are expensive and don't tell time as well as my phone. I own more guns that I've never shot than ones I have by a 3 to 1 margin probably. I wear running shoes but don't run. I own a retriever but don't hunt with him. What else?.....oh, I own Staccatos. If you've left "need" behind a while ago, why not buy whatever sounds fun? |

To rich for me for those that can afford them I am sure they are nice.

Kind of Karenish to even be concerned what someone else is shooting. No impact on you at all.

View Quote Pretty much this. I took a class where I was paired up with a Staccato shooter. I was using a P365xl and was handily outshooting him. When I tried the Staccato, I did way better than I was with the P365xl. Not much to do with accuracy but I could shoot way faster with the Staccato. Nicer guns remove barriers to shooting better. I'd recommend taking a class that really pushes your limits, then you'll see where the firearm may be holding you back. |

You'll shoot a better gun better. The whole "the gun is more accurate than the shooter" is bullshit. Yes, the mechanical accuracy is, but there is a lot more that goes into making a good shot than mechanical accuracy.

I've never shot a pistol more accurately than the XC. It made me far better than I am. It really did feel like cheating. The trigger is amazing, but the weight and compensator also help, as does the 1 MOA SRO my buddy has mounted on it.

They kick ass that's why. I shoot mine better than any other handgun I have ever owned. It's like cheating.

I waste money on other things I don't really need so I can't say anything. Personal preference is king.

View Quote I personally wouldn't be forking out $1500 to $2k+ for a handgun, but I can see why people want 2011's. This is just some speculation and different people have different preferences, but I'm under the impression that a lot of people prefer a good single action hammer fired trigger over a good striker action trigger (please understand that this isn't sarcasm-- I personally don't have much of a preference one way or the other as long as the trigger is a good production grade). Please keep in mind that people may want a (correctly placed for them ) manual thumb safety, 1911 ergonomics (grip angle, etc.) with the Glock/M&P/XD/P320 capacity. |
|
I have quite a bit in my 17/19 and have been shooting it for years and love every part of it that I essentially made for my hand and style of shooting. I have have had legions and nice 1911's and never once considered using another gun until I shot two Staccato's...It really is like cheating.

I carry mine because it has a 1911 trigger. I have shooting and carrying a 1911 or STI for decades. I also like the increase in the number of rounds in the pistol.

Don't own a Staccato, can't speak to the love for them. They seem like really nice guns.
I will take almost any hammer fired gun over almost any striker fired gun almost every time. I do like the Kahr trigger. The G19 is a very good service grade gun if that's what you want. I don't like them much. I carry a Hellcat for it's size, weight, capacity, I wouldn't pick it for a fun shooter. |
