I work with a couple of girls that have a cut like that.
One is hot, the other is OK. The thing with hair, it grows back. I can't stand booger collectors, facial piercings or ear gauges. |

Isn't this just a mohawk, which has probably been around since the dawn of mankind?
That being said, I remember in the 1990's when the metal head guys had their hair long,shaved on the sides, and the top pulled back into a pony tail. This was way before all this Viking trend shit. Oh, I remember the schools considering people with this haircut as satanists or cultists. |

Side cuts and undercuts were invented to be explicitly hideous as part of the feminist and SJW attack on traditional beauty standards. They're created by the symbolic and literal act of destroying something that was more beautiful.
(Beauty standards are in some ways culturally relative, but there are commonalities between more successful cultures that emphasize creation over destruction. That's largely because they have a basis in some unprovable truth, in the same way Michaelangelo's David can reasonably be called objectively greater than the Okeanos sculpture of a giant turd in San Diego, California.) Ironically, these girls do mental gymnastics around their rejection of beauty concepts by nevertheless convincing each other their haircuts are "beautiful" with excessive, baseless, insistent praise. It's the same concept as "Fat is beautiful!" In the end, as in 1984, "There will be no distinction between beauty and ugliness." These cuts look "hot" to men despite their aesthetic ugliness (compared to the previous full head of hair), because they signify a damaged, wild, promiscuous girl who will usually resent that characterization but live up to it entirely...in bed. They're like tattoos in this way, except more reliable indicators now that tattoos have been normalized (and except how tattoos can at least have meaning and aesthetic value). They're a flashing neon sign of "sex and adventure [but beware drama] here!" Not all of us recognize it consciously, but most of us pick off on the strong sexual vibe, and most of us are too foolish not to stick it in crazy. |

My brother used to have a young "woman" that would stop by and hang out, that used to have such a haircut.
The first time I saw her with her head partially shaved, I asked her if she could only afford half a haircut. If looks could kill, I wouldn't have felt a thing in my last living moment.

I agree it looks bad. Its like they are purposely trying to make themselves look horrible in an attempt to give the middle finger to beauty standards they feel they can never achieve.
The rainbow assortment of terrible dye jobs is just the cherry on top of their mental disorder. ETA: yes there are exceptions and some women can make it look hot as hell, but they are embracing their feminine beauty at the same time while the above are using it to destroy themselves. |
