I like fuel injection and spark managed by a computer. Do you hate power and efficiency?
Cylinder deactivation can go fuck itself however.

I'm pretty sure computerized fuel injection isn't going away.

Displacement on demand?  Yeah, idea whose time came, went, came again, and should be forever banished.

Fake anything
Piano black interior
Touchscreen everything

Squinting headlights
Useless chrome accessories

Honorable mentions (mostly gone, but still occasionally seen)

Expand that to ANY safety or driver assist "feature" that you can't turn off permanently and need to disable it every time. I'm looking at you, VW Lane assist!

Here's a modern day fad IMO:

digital instrument clusters.

People ooh and ahh over the graphics but it's really just the automakers being cheap/lazy smacking an LCD on the dash.  Look at the BMW iX:

That's an $80+k vehicle and the dash looks like shit.

Telematics and data collection.  Along with the already mentioned driver aids they should be optional and easily removeable.  And if you keep it all of the detailed info should be accessible to you for fun/repairs.

I hate the Active Fuel Management System.  I splurged for one of the ODB port cheaters that keeps it in 8 cylinder mode all the time. That fucked up shifting from low to high and back down again is gone.
