No. She was hot news in 2008, but when she didn't run in 2012 she missed her only real chance. McCain was the Establishment candidate, and he put her on the ticket in 2008 to appeal to the conservative base. Trump needs to settle the Establishment behind his candidacy and will probably need a running mate approved of by GOP(e).
Remember, the number one function of a Vice Presidential candidate is to step in and become President if needed. Palin running for VP again would open her up to charges that she isn't competent to be President. Since that is the exact thing her detractors have been saying about her for years, it would not be a good idea for her to run for VP again. Maybe an independent run for President in 2020 (very doubtful), or for the US Senate from Alaska but otherwise she is done at the national level. |
